  Hello Brandon and Stephanie,
  We had a similar experience. When I learned of the UN scandal more than 1 1/2 years ago, I started to think by myself & saw the hypocrisy. After 3 weeks I told my wife... She agreed & we told our children. It tokk us 4 months but we are out now & we will never go back!. My oldest son is attending University now & is having very good grades, he is in the top 3%. We are having a much better family life & read just the bible....

  i was just thinking, when i was a young teenager, i started an attempt to become fashion conscious.

  i started noticing what people were wearing, even at the kh.

  Furuli's New Books--Attempt to Refute COJonsson

  i just heard that the norwegian watchtower apologist, rolf furuli, who esteems himself a biblical scholar of semetic languages, has completed the first of two volumes he plans to publish on the societys chronology, assyrian, babylonian, egyptian and persian chronology compared with the chronology of the bible.. title of this first volume is: persian chronology and the length of the babylonian exile of the jews.. i hear that although carl olof jonsson is not mentioned by name, or reference made to his book "gentile times reconsidered," it is nevertheless apparent that these volumes are an attempt to refute jonssons excellent study which has exposed the watchtowers 1914 date as total folly.. .

  when i came (in the mundane sense), over this board, it was thrilling to find others who had the same viewpoints, insights, and completely opposing shitty religious fairy tales.. after lurking and now, posting, i have to put a clock by my pc.

  no more than half an hour a night.

  (that is why i jump in sometimes, and get folks angry...).

  For me, it was the UN affair. When I learned of it it hurt. But I kept on investigating. Some time later I informed the elders & went to the branch office in my country & it was true, all of it! They did not know nothing at the moment, but later they could not justify it. I had two meetings at the branch & two with the elders. One of the elders (who was not in my cong. & a very good friend) saw the light too. The elders of my hall took no action against me, that was a year ago I think. We left with our families, but my friend, Ginosko (the elder), was DA'ed.

  the wtbs hypocrisy, a very good & loving person, a real christian, has cancelled .

  She told the mother of 2 of her studies not to let them become JW, this person
  is a JW too & agreed (she has her own reazons too).
  She also told a married couple that she had personal reazons for not continuing
  the study with them; She thinks they understood that there was something wrong
  with the org. (besides they did not want to study with any other person), the
  rest of the studies were just cancelled...
  
  I myself cancelled 2 bible studies when I opened my eyes... I think maybe I
  should pay them a visit.
