Yeah it really is an abominable religion that won’t leave people in peace.. If any old JW busybodies stumble upon my FB page they will see undeniable proof that I’m into the Christmas spirit.. After all these years, I am well past caring what those miserable people think.
two folks from the local kh visited the house yesterday looking for my wife who is an on again off again baptized jw.
wife was not available so they asked me to tell her about a special talk on marriage next week.
any outlines available for this ‘special talk’ or could this potentially be a local issue?.

I am really sorry to hear about that JW woman!
When I came into the Witnesses as a young working woman, I saw all the desirable men were taken. The rest I wasn’t interested in.👎 A woman there with any sense has to look outside the religion for a man. The religion definitely has a double standard about finding a partner outside. A man gets a ‘pass’ but a woman is judged. This is because the JW religion wants women around as drudges to do favors. They KNOW once she is married they can no longer freely approach her.. In my case, even though I was single, the answer was always No if they came near me looking for anything… Since I was knocked/shunned for working full-time I wouldn’t do favors for anybody there.
BTW, this DOUBLE STANDARD also applied to secular work/full-time jobs.. A man there wouldn’t be told he should quit a decent job and do housecleaning - but yet these bastards tried this with me.. It didn’t work.

Those ‘pioneer leeches’ you describe never got anything from me!! I was outraged that some JWs thought they were not going to work and thought people would give them ‘handouts’.👎.. I felt they should go ask their spiritual friends for $$.
i was once was told by an jw elder it was a rule not to gossip or swear as it could harm someone, but i guess the new light allows this.
it was bad enough when they were calling people worldly now i heard a jw gossiping about someone and it was mean.just another reason i would never go back.

All true what you say. There is no respect for any boundaries whatsoever in the Witnesses and also thinking a single woman is a sexual threat, no matter how absurd it is and how unattractive most of the men were!🙄
I am many years ‘Faded’ and told certain JWs I occasionally communicate with that I would never go back for several reasons - the biggest one being I would never tolerate their lack of boundaries and I would have to tell people off over this and them asking for thing$.👎
i was reading an anti cult reddit post where a woman (ex mormon) was trying her hardest to discourage the mormons from visiting her and trying to convert her back.
a few others chimed in about their various methods (coming to the door naked, pretending to be practicing black magic, etc.
) which they claimed would have the mormons and jws running away as fast as possible.. somehow, i doubt it.
I had two Witness men knock on my door over a year ago.
They were working the area and didn’t know me. I was polite to them but gave them an abbreviated story of my experience as a working person who got ‘shunned’ . I said I wouldn’t have retired if I didn’t work.
I said I’d never go back to the religion and am not interested in being asked to give money or charity for people there who hardly worked if at all.. So, I doubt these JWs would call on me again!🤣

Yes, welcome to the forum.
Witnesses have perfected gossip to an art. There’s absolutely nothing like it! Sadly, they are lacking in Christian qualities like love, kindness and compassion.. Instead, they are filled with secret jealousies, pettiness and every other evil.. All under the mask of righteousness, of course.
Everybody got gossiped about there back when I was in - but it was people like me on the fringes who worked a full-time job that got panned and shunned the most! Also, I wasn’t raised in the religion and there was a subtle bias against people who were not.
I finally ‘Faded’ out of there after their 1995 Generation teaching. Time to leave. I knew they didn’t know what they were talking about and were just stringing everybody along!

he is really knocking pimi witnesses and has a lot of well deserved criticisms about them.. he says he hopes at this point that they never wake up….
i am inclined to feel the same.

Sad. But this is the delusion too many Witnesses are under after believing false stories and urban legends.. It’s even more tragic when Witnesses were deceived into shunning their own flesh & blood children when they were younger.
Back when they were younger and on their high-horse..their ‘friends’ in the hall encouraged them to shun their inactive children… Well, where are these Witness friends now that said Witnesses reach 90+ years old?? This is the problem listening to stupid people in the hall. They will either move away or pass away. They aren’t gonna be there for anybody!
So, Misguided JWs imagine the Witnesses are going to ‘take care of them’. 🤣 Nothing could be further from the truth. Besides, this multi-billion dollar religion/organization has NO social programs whatsoever. So, there’s no department for free care of the aging! 🤣The religion is notorious for kicking people out of bethel after 30 years with no severance pay, etc…But yet foolish JWs will believe absurdities like this one.
It’s all a mirage and too bad more people there won’t see it. But that’s what happens when you believe a whole lot of fantasies. 👎

Yes, it is unfortunately true that people who leave the Jehovah’s Witnesses lose their friends, contacts and sometimes family members! Even if you don’t lose all your friends right away, in time they will all be gone.
I understand these losses are really terrible for born-ins and I wish there was a way to alleviate this.. For somebody like me..who was NOT raised in and came in a young working adult with no family there - the loss was nonexistent.
I view the Witnesses like people I worked with on an unpleasant job I had years ago.
I was so elated to be done with it (I ‘Faded’ after the 1995 Generation teaching) and to reconnect with relatives/old friends that it was well worth it to ‘lose’ judgmental acquaintances.... Likewise, it was worth every nickel to be shunned (by these PIMI die-hards) because I worked full-time.
My experience in the JWs was a life lesson learned and I’m glad it’s all in the past.

I am inclined to feel the same. These are the die-hard people really responsible for all the unchristian and unforgivable attitudes in the congregation. They all thought they were hot sh#t.. Such smugness and arrogance and they all thought they would be walking into the ‘new system’ hand in hand. Never thought they’d reach senior years in ‘this system’ and all the hardship that entails. Now they are upset and maybe a little bitter.. Most are not happy about the changes to the religion.

seems like i just pop in here every now and then to see what everyone is up to.
just like the previous years, i check in during the holidays to let everyone know about the annual christmas card exchange.. blondie used to lead this several years ago and i was involved for about 3 to 4 years before it began to fall off.
for those of you who participated back then, i still have your addresses and have just sent off this year's christmas cards to everyone.

a single sister in her 40s and her two single daughters were visiting my mom.
i would say her daughters are in their early 20s.
my mom got sleepy and we put her to bed but the three sisters stayed to finish their drinks..

What horror stories.
It was typical of people in the Witness religion to not warn an unsuspecting sister that the brother she intends to marry has something VERY wrong with him. This could be pertaining to a criminal nature, a disease or some other ‘quirk’ that exposes him as worthless!
These useless people will gossip about every other damn thing under the sun, but yet will keep quiet about something as serious as this!.. I would have wanted to know these things if I were seeing someone! ..Looking back, it’s just as well I never got involved with anybody there!
