I was able to get my wife to agree with one case where the WBTS is wrong. Shot down later by the RBC.
by easyreader1970 inmy wife knows i am skeptical about everything, even stuff coming from the mouths and pens of the wbts.
recently, i flat told her that i did not believe that animals were all "created" vegetarians, no matter what the wacthtower said.
there was an article (i don't remember if it was watchtower or awake!

There's also the small question of why a shark (or any other fish for that matter) would have to adapt because of a flood.

I'd like to propose that all ex-JWs be prohibited from distributing this door-to-door, and that as evidence of our inaction we must fail to hand in a monthly service report.

He dwells on the star Alcyone in the Pleiades constellation. It's true. I read it somewhere.

What should I say to the Mormons?
by bluecanary inyesterday as i was leaving the apartment, there were two women in skirts, holding bibles at the door across from me.
i almost panicked!
i definitely want to talk the jws if they ever come to my door (no one knows me in this area) but i'm not ready yet!.

From my experience with talking to Mormons, I'm not sure it will be such good practice for dealing with JWs. Their methods of reasoning (if you can call it that) are completely different, and they don't get uppity when you challenge them on facts. The Lord has revealed to them personally that it is all true, and that is that.

Poll: Who Left Whilst Still Believing?
by brinjen inthis is for an upcoming youtube project.
i would love to do this on a mass scale... think there might be something "big" in the results.. 1. were you a born-in (including those who's parents converted while they were still children) or did you convert as an adult?.
2. when you left, did you still (a) fully believe in the truthtm, (b) partially believe or (c) realise it was all a load of crap?.

1. Were you a born-in or did you convert as an adult?
Born in.
2. When you left, did you still (a) fully believe in the truth TM , (b) partially believe or (c) realise it was all a load of crap?
Partially. Still believed most of the doctrines, but had really started to dislike the organization itself. The social control, arbitrary rules, intolerance for differing viewpoints, etc.
3. Now, do you still (a) fully believe in the truth TM , (b) partially believe or (c) realise it is all a load of crap?
Mostly (c)- but I'm hesitant to declare any viewpoint true or false until I find out for sure what the truth actually is.
4. When you left, how afraid where you of armageddon TM ?
Barely gave Armageddon itself a thought, but it took a bit of adjusting to the idea that I would eventually get old and die one day.
5. Do you class yourself now as (a) christian (b) agnostic (c) atheist or (d) other (please state).

I remember being convinced that The End ® was going to arrive in 1986 after looking at one of our Australian $1 coins and seeing "International Year of Peace" on the front of it.

Is Shunning an Act of Revenge?
by cameo-d in.
does wt demand an act of wickedness to prove loyalty to the institution?.
is shunning a wicked act of revenge?.
-

It's not really about the DF'd person at all. They couldn't care less about getting revenge. It's for those who are still in, to show them what will happen if they step out of line.
