Umm... Geesh... I don't know. I think it's more likely that she's trying to protect her assets. Instead of admitting that she has no interest of throwing her hip in the throws of passion or losing her childrens inheritance to an idiot, she's telling "you boys" that it's your fault to instill guilt. That's just my 2 cents.

Marriage Proposal.
by Englishman ini just found out today that my jw mum has turned down a proposal of marriage for the fourth time.
none of the proposals were from the same guy either, although all 4 were jw's.
i'm also told that mum's considered quite a dish for an octogenarian.. however, i'm also reliably informed that one of the main reasons for her refusals is because of the df'd "state" of my kid brother and myself.. see, she's considered a mature dub, one of the elite, and she also gets her own quiet ration of new light.

Meaning of Amen
by finnrot inwhen i was a kid my dad told me that when you said "amen" at the end of your prayer, that it meant "praise to jehovah".
i was listening to howard stern this morning and they were discussing the death of the pope, and they mentioned that his last word was "amen".
robin(the woman that does the news on the howard stern radio show) asked them what they thought that "amen" meant.

I always thought it meant that you were in agreement with what was said in the prayer.

How do you know when you've found your calling?
by love11 inwhen i first left the jw's i didn't know what i wanted or who i was.
i've went through about 100 different career options that i liked.
i think that i've finally narrowed it down (for the millionth time) to pick this one career field- psychology.

When I first left the jw's I didn't know what I wanted or who I was. I've went through about 100 different career options that I liked. I think that I've finally narrowed it down (for the millionth time) to pick this one career field- psychology. I always am wondering if I'm making the right decision. If only I could make a decision, I know I have the power to make it happen. I think in the past I was trying to settle on a career with less schooling. Also, I have a love for the arts but I don't want to end up as a starving artist.
Has anyone else felt this torn?

Your not alone! Look around you, there is a whole world of humans out there that are good people. If you want a friend to read the bible with, I'm sure that a ton of "bible reading" people will comply. If you want a man to get your freak on, then you should start opening your mind to a world of possiblities. I'm sure out of the billions of people in this world, you can find one that hits the spot. ( no pun intended )
One word of advice- I met my husband when I stopped "looking" and just became comfortable and happy with myself "all alone". Find something that fulfills you, even if it doesn't live up to other's standards of what being fulfilled means. Different versions of happiness fit different people. Just like different religions, dogs, family, houses, clothing, and hair styles are for different people. Find your own sense of happiness.

i thought this site suppose to be kind to one another!
by sad and lonely ini just recently join this site because i was looking for a friendly place for witnesses to go and chat.it's ok!..but i seen a lot of witness bashing.there's another site i want to get into, that's also a site for the witnesses.but i don't know what po means.and that's the only way a true witness can get in.i think maybe there is where i want to be.because i don't need to be in a site for witnesses, where its suppose to be friendly.yet witness haters are coming in.i haven't heard any witness bashing anyone in this site..but yet its the other way around.

Jehovah's witnesses don't need their own web-site to bash other people, they already do that in their magazines and books.
I don't really understand your comment, I've found nothing but kindness and understanding. Maybe you need to stick around longer to find out that most people here can't stand judgemental people and don't like it when they see others being judged.
If your commenting on how there is alot of negative things being said about jehovah's witnesses, then that is different. Alot of people have been burned by the jw's and this is a safe place to vent. Not everyone loves your religion. Just like not everyone loved being a catholic. Difference of opinion and variety of thought is something to be cherished. Without it there would be no libraries, no art, no tolerance.
You seem like a sensitive person and maybe your feelings were accidently hurt. Is your need to have a mate something that you really need or are you unhappy and trying to fill a void in you that being a jw can't provide? Don't worry, I'm not passing judgement by asking you those questions, I just want you to ask yourself that, in the privacy of your heart.

He had a Johnny Depp look with an indian heritage, and a shy sexy personality.
Nice checkbones and broad shoulders.
I still love him and think he's hot, even with thinning hair and love handles.
