  ExJWs & "Adult" Subjects On The Forum

  i think we have a tendency to get ourselves involved in subjects that might be "r" or worse rated because we couldn't as a jehovah's witness.. any talk or discussion of something considered "wrong" would get you into trouble.. many of us who were brought up in the religion never had any real "normal fun" growing up.

  we couldn't associate with "worldly" people and even jws were considered "bad association" if they didn't fit the congregation's ideals.

  we couldn't tell an off colored joke.

  JW Woman dies refusing blood....

  wendy cloete louwwe lost a sister in our congregation today, had severe depression and tried to take her own life.

  sad thing is if the doctors stopped being petty and insisting on bloody and just gave her alternative blood volumiser sooner she might have been fine.

  it took the elders hours to get her transferred to a new hospital.

  just a heads up, this thread will contain some personal ramblings and my plans for the future.

  as many of you know, i've been in law school for the last 2 1/2 years, and have 1 semester left to complete that degree.

  Seems like the Law Degree may open doors. I would complete the course. Not completing it might indicate something undesirable.

  How many meetings did you actually enjoy?

  i was talking to my husband and we were trying to work out how many meetings we actually came away from feeling enthused or excited by what we had heard.

  not including pre and post meeting association how many wow moments can you recall?.

  we had to conclude that most of the time in the organisation the meeting was something you endured.

  I used to love it when the the Public Speaker forgot he had to be at our hall for his talk. We would just have the Watchtower, and off we went to enjoy our Sunday. Then they changed the policy to where we always had an Elder on standby to give a talk.....after the Watchtower..Dang!

  publishingcult's 4th video, cult of the publishing corporation iv- ordained ministers iii is now uploaded on youtube.. the watchtower bible & tract society, inc claims to have 7 million baptized members worldwide who are, everyone, man, woman, and child, ordained ministers, and the only ministers today who are following closely in jesus footsteps in preaching the good news of gods kingdom.. .

  this video pries a little deeper into the intellectual dishonesty and mental gymnastics employed by wt ministers as they attempt to prove scripturally that the peddling of wt publications is actually a commandment from jesus himself.. .

  if jehovahs witnesses claim to be the only organization to have and promulgate the truth about god and his word, the bible (as written and recorded in wt publications), then why has the truth been revised time and time again?
