All of you here seem to me to be the biggest bunch of belly-achers I've ever seen in my entire life. None of you, apparently, have any idea of what a hard time or a hard way of life is. You have never experienced anything other than ride to school (instead of walk), ride to work, go here and go there, enjoy this and enjoy that. There are people still alive that know what it means to really experience discomfort. The entire bunch of you have a lot to learn, if you will just get up off your lazy butts and put your minds to work. The fact that so many of you are here posting on this DB each and every day says a lot. Now me, I'm taking notes ... so my reason for being here is far more justifiable than yours. Plus, I'm retired, my house is clean, the grass is mowed, my puppy "Friday" has been fed.
Translation: I have no life.

there are many perceptive posters here who have picked up on the mlm amway/jdub connection.. however, there are some who are not familiar with what we are talking about.
i thought for them it would be nice to list some similarities between the two organizations.. btw, amway has a new line of business, they're calling it quixtar.
so if you get approached for this, be aware it's just amway.
be aware they will start 'love bombing' you immediately.

hello, i've been lurking the board for quite sometime now and i have also read crisis of conscience.
my hubby and i stopped attending the meetings since december and had our first christmas in 6 years.
it was fun although the feelings of guilt are still within us.. we've been visited by the elders twice but we managed to keep them at bay.
Gee, I feel more welcome here than in my congregation. I have the Christian Freedom book by Ray Franz but have not started it yet.
I know the guilt will go away but I guess after almost 25 years in the truth (from when I was 14), you get brainwashed and it stays with you. Oh well, hubby and I are taking it one day at a time.
What funny is, we never miss the meetings and the 'friends'. We never felt so free to do our own thing and projects we have neglected around the house and yard. Our eyes are also opened to the fact that the worldlings around us are actually better than the loving brotherhood in the organization. We now view our workmates, neighbors etc., without prejudice and without judgement. It felt so great. I can now see the good in everyone.
ozziepost, yes my 'very righteous friends' on another popular witness online board visit this board and yes we talk about what you guys say here, in private. So I cannot reveal my identity. I'm pretty sure after this post, each one of us will be suspicious of another. I know that a regular poster here knows my identity, so please exert every effort not to write my name.

Hello, I've been lurking the board for quite sometime now and I have also read Crisis of Conscience. My hubby and I stopped attending the meetings since December and had our first Christmas in 6 years. It was fun although the feelings of guilt are still within us.
We've been visited by the elders twice but we managed to keep them at bay. Some 'loving' bros and sis also started phoning us and for the first time in years started inviting us for get togethers. Funny thing, when we were active being invited was extremely rare. I could really feel their love and concern.
I've enjoyed Amazing's Deceptive Elders series as well as the Justice series at the old H2O. I too have been a victim of injustice from the very people whose duty it is to shepherd the flock. I will tell my story soon but I know that some very 'righteous friends' also visit this site and if I spilled the beans, my identity will be revealed. I am not ready to come out yet as I still have family in 'the truth' that I want to help. Someday....
Anyway, glad to meet you all. And yes Fred and YK/You Know--you guys are on my ignore-amus list.
