  Likewise today, Christians should not shrink from taking a firm stand for righteousness if it becomes known that a member of the congregation is deliberately seeking a worldly mate. If the situation escalated to the point of marriage, would it be appropriate for appointed elders to act as Nehemiah did? The Bible itself gives the answer: "We must obey God as ruler rather than men." (Acts 6:29) Prevailing social standards and worldly laws cannot serve as our guide in this matter. Jehovah rewards those who loyally adhere to a godly view of marriage.

  as a result of the newspaper report calling attention to my actions i feel compelled to provide further information that has come to light and deserves full exposure.. the society is very much aware of my intentions, because of a private e-mail i innocently wrote someone was forwarded to the society without my permission.

  i turned to this website looking for encouragement.. i thought it was a genuine jw chat site.. what do i find?.

  most who write here, don't belive in the jw teachings.. most are complainers and apostate.. does any one know were i can find a genuine jw site?

  i have notice that many here are always complaining about those wonderful assemblies that we used to attend?

  why is everyone so ungrateful?.

  All of you here seem to me to be the biggest bunch of belly-achers I've ever seen in my entire life. None of you, apparently, have any idea of what a hard time or a hard way of life is. You have never experienced anything other than ride to school (instead of walk), ride to work, go here and go there, enjoy this and enjoy that. There are people still alive that know what it means to really experience discomfort. The entire bunch of you have a lot to learn, if you will just get up off your lazy butts and put your minds to work. The fact that so many of you are here posting on this DB each and every day says a lot. Now me, I'm taking notes ... so my reason for being here is far more justifiable than yours. Plus, I'm retired, my house is clean, the grass is mowed, my puppy "Friday" has been fed.

  Translation: I have no life.

  see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil .

  some see this expression as a positive exhortation to not look at bad things, don't listen to evil, and don't gossip.

  other's see it more like three foolish monkeys who would not look, listen, or speak out against injustice.
