  seeing that most of those on this forum love to judge others (although the complaint is that jws do the same thing), i am willing to go through a judicial committee.. if you see fit not to forgive, please disfellowship me and shun me.

  Suggest a curry

  according to the news, that when she went to the elders to expose belize--the elders threatened to disfellowship her if she go to court.

  10 years since My Exit - The Introduction

  it will be part of my permanent notes that may someday be incorporated in a book likely a private book for my children and grandchildren.

  Hey Amazing,

  Actually I used your formula (that post about how you helped your family out) in bringing my hubby out of the borg with me. He was really into it...but now, he's with me and we are enjoying life as it should be--free from mind-numbing distractions.

  I'm also using your formula to bring my JW relatives and friends out--as of today I have succeeded in 5 of them.

  Thanks alot and yes please do write that book.

  her former Eastern Washington congregation and against the governing body for not doing anything about her sexual molester. According to the news, that when she went to the elders to expose Belize--the elders threatened to disfellowship her if she go to court. A Bellevue law firm is involved in her case. Don't know if its only Kiro reporting this incident. But almost everyone here in Seattle listens to Kiro so this is big.

  Glad I'm out--don't really want to go out in the field service on Saturday with this going around.

  if you spent any time at all the the "spoof" you have heard this phrase a million times.. what does it mean to the average jw, though, as interpreted by the wbts?

  looking at the situation objectively, one would have to conclude that they are merely hiding behind this scripture in an effort to dodge their responsibilities as citizens of their respective country.. first of all, jws claim this scripture as part of the reason they remain politically neutral.

  are they, however, really politically neutral?

  Hey Lisa,

  Good thread as usual. This is one of the reasons why I'm questioning my belief. And not to sound like I'm patting my back, but ever since I stopped associating with this damn religion--I feel like a new person. I'm more sensitive to the feelings of others, I'm more giving and caring. I'm more loving and feel like I'm giving the geniune love that witnesses talk about but have absolutely no clue what it is.

  I went to Asia last year and talked to my 'witnesses' friends about the UN. I showed them the UN letter confirming the Society's membership. We felt betrayed because during high school we almost didn't graduate because of the military training prerequisite. We also felt that the Society betrayed those who died than compromise their Christian neutrality. The Society didn't balk at compromising theirs for what -- a damn library card?! Give me a freakin' break!

  You are also right about the witnesses fleecing the government that they so love to hate. There are several brothers and sisters in my congregation who are on 'disability', but their lifestyles just tell you that they are lazy and just don't want to work.

  Frankly, I'm really sick and tired of their farce. My hubby and I are the one shunning them and putting our noses in the air whenever we see them on the street. What a bunch of pathetic losers.

  I'm fine, just got back from a long trip. I'm trying to find your thread about helping someone out of the borg.

  Anyway, just want to say hi and congratulations on the new baby! BTW, my family and I are going all out next Christmas. I'm setting the groundwork to get my Mom and the elders off my back.

  as of 6:02 pm last night i received a facsimile from paul hoeffel at the un on the wts.. he gave me 3 of the 4 things i requested in two paragraphs.. i have sent a scanned version to steve bates and someone else.. i sent it to kent and randy.

  and kent and randy have posted the official united nations letter on their web sites.. here is the letter - put your cursor on the image and then right click on your mouse and hit "save image" to your computer.. .

  after you look at kent's web site and you people still think this it is a fake letter, phone paul hoeffel yourself at (212) 963-8070.. hawk

  some of you have read posts here, and on other forums, in magazines and newspapers, and maybe watched tv commnetary that alleges president george w. bush is less than brilliant, perhaps under-qualified for office, etc.. evidence seems starkly missing from these allegations.

  during campaign 2000, the media started painting gw as being mentally 'one can short of a six-pack.

  ' but, has anyone, and i mean anyone provided even an ounce of evidence to support this?
