New DF/DA Policy?
by new light inwould someone who has the new od book explain any changes in "keeping the congregation clean"?
is it still the same policy or have they actually changed anything?
i'd especially like to know if they are changing their tune on the "inactive".

though not officially able to shun for poor meeting attendance or fs..what they can decide to do is 'mark' such an individual as a bad associate thereby excluding them from social activities..this is a private decision although most that decide to do it tell others and then they can privately decide to do it as well..
jeannie...i remember thinking when i was trying to get reinstated that it was a bit like a drug addict going to rehab and telling them that he wanted to give up drugs but needed help cos he was addicted and being told well we can only believe you when you prove you want to give up by in fact giving up and then we will welcome you with open arms(lol) and give you all the help you need now that you dont actually need help...oh and dont even think about asking any of your friends or family to help you...ok dude easier to just overdose..thanx for nothing..peace

I know a girl that has been DF 4 times and the elders told her to get lost?
by booker-t inyou would think after one time of humiliation a person would run from the jw's and never ever step foot inside a kh but my co-worker is in her mid-40's and has been df a total of 4 times since her baptism in 1979. i have talk to her over and over again but she said she is going to meet with the elders and asked to being reinstated.
she is completed shunned by her jw mom and her uncle is a co. i feel sorry for her because she feels so guilty all the time and fears being destroyed at armaggeddon.
she is totally wasting her life running and begging the elders for forgivness.

Disfellowshipping in absentia policy from "Organized to do Jehovah's Will"
by truthseeker inthis is the new disfellowshipping policy from the "organized to do jehovah's will" book.
this book is now the replacement for the old "organized to accomplish our ministry" book, released in 1983. .
chapter 14: maintaining the peace and cleaness of the congregation .

the reason why the announcement would go ahead is because the decision has already been made by the first commitee...so if you dont turn up or get in touch to re-arrange then obviously this shows that you are accepting the decision.....if you dont turn up to the first j/c then thats normally because you have decided you dont want to be associated any longer and probably will not be considered a threat so would not be disfellowshipped.....what i think would be interesting is to be called before a j/c and refuse to go but still attend the meetings and answer up, go in fs etc...what could they do then..i tell you this-i will never go in front of a j/c again...prov 26 : 6 explains why..tijkmo

think there is abit of paranoia and deliberately looking for faults going on here...there is no ambiguity in the statements....an inactive person is NOT the same as a d/a person...and an inactive person has always been someone who is not active in the ministry even though they may be attending all the meetings and doing nothing else wrong......so no ..no-one is going to be considered organizationally as being d/a because they dont go to meetings or engage in fs...these ones should still be getting regular help from loving concerned sheperds..lol...what is of interest is whether they address the issue of who gets disfellowshipped...the book says UNREPENTANT wrongdoers but pretty much all the d/fs i have heard of recently inc my own have been of GENUINELY SORRY wrongdoers who were just not believed by an incompetent untrained unqualified unaccountable j/c hellbent (tijkmo) on executing punishment...
Of note too is the comment that someone may become inactive due to PERSECUTION...which is understandable if you are locked in solitary confinement but ought never to be the result of treatment by other members of the true religion noted for its love amongst itself...inc continuing to treat a reinstated person as if they are still d/f
Further..all the time i was d/f i never stopped witnessing about j....so how can they announce that they are no longer one of j..w.. the statement is slanderous and there would be quite a few 'witnesses' to the fact although they would probably be silent witnesses if instructed

C.O. visit; They sound desperate.
by TonyT inmy mother recently told me that the congregation was scolded by their district sales manager....errr circuit overseer for poor meeting attendance.
it seems that at times attendance would sink as low as 60%.
she didn't respond when i said that maybe there was something good on television that night.

Our co told us that london bethel got no applications last year..not one....i was thinking about printing off some of the 'experiences' from here about drinking rooftop parties sexual shenannigans etc to try and encourage some of our young ones....by the way one of the questions asked on the form is do you have homosexual tendancies.....must be too many bros answering no to that one

Jehovah's Witnesses and mental illness

Proverbs 13 :12 says-'expectation delayed is making the heart sick'.....when you consider that there nust be a couple of million witnesses that have been expecting armageddon for a lomg time now then no wonder so many are sick...mentally physically spiritually....the bible does not say it MAY make some hearts a wee bit down...it says IS making the heart SICK....
