I don't do caffeine, but I had to jump on the Starbucks wagon...currently I'm attached to my Grande decaf cafe americano with cream & 3 equal ! But I don't go that often - less than once per month.
I remember my first starbucks experience - a kiosk at O'Hare about 7 years ago - I got a cup of it before a very early morning flight - put my usual amount of creamer, and was amazed that the color hadn't changed one bit, (and I am routinely teased by being asked if I want a little coffee with my cream). I took my first sip and about gagged, poured an inch out and added an inch of cream and more sugar - still tasted like tar... needless to say, by the time I got down to 1/2 coffe and 1/2 cream and it STILL tasted like a pound of beans had been used to brew that one cup, I chucked it in the trash. I had a negative opinion of Starbucks after that, until I tried the Caramel Macchiato a few years ago and that changed my opinion.
But when I go back east, there is still no beating a great plain old cup of Dunkin' Donuts coffee, which I will take any day of the week over Starbucks - unfortunately, there are not any DD's to be had in California!
