For those of you who do not believe in corporal punishment...

that is, for those of you who actually think that hitting children is wrong, what types of discipline do you find more effective?

i'm not a parent but when dealing with kids, i've seen that time-outs tend to make kids feel isolated and can really hurt them.

if they're near others and are checked up on frequently, it seems ok. but when they're completely ignored, that is just bad.

How do I hear/feel God?

this is a serious question.. i know people that hear/feel god (and see postings about people's experiences), but i have not experienced this.

i have never heard anything audibly (or otherwise) nor "felt" anything inwardly.. i've prayed, read, quieted my thoughts, etc...but still nothing..

in flyinghighnow's wildflower page, she asked how an image could be added to another photo, and i thought to reply in a new thread.. i have noticed there are plenty of experienced photoshop users on this board who would likely have many tips to share with other users.. feel free to ask questions, or provide answers here.

my experience is limited, but i will help where i can, and i hope to learn from others.. there are many capable programs other than photoshop, so feel free to post about any of them you are familiar with.. there is often an easier way to do something, so any shortcuts are welcome!.

i have tried to stop hating the organization and all it stands for, but in 7 years i've had to luck in doing so.

i am going to therapy to work this out, but i still hate the wt borg.

i have heard it is bad for you to hate something for so long.

Kinda further to what OTWO said, I've heard that for as long as one has been in a "worldview", such is as long as it takes to be free of it.

to the household of god, israel, and those who go with... may you all have peace!

to try and perhaps help "calm" some of the rhetoric and propaganda on the board lately regarding what i've posted as to the apperance of spirit being, the following are links to threads/posts that contain some information regarding their appearance and nature.

for those who haven't read of such before, they are not "men", as in human... nor do they appear as human unless they put on the appearance of an "able-bodied" (vs. disabled) man.

I saw the movie Dragonslayer in the theatres when it came out. I thought it was awesome and had the coolest looking dragon, even by today's CGI standards.The way it moved and flew looked so realistic considering the model and stop motion technique used to film it
