I find it sad, that instead of people taking responsibility for their own actions, they blame some one else for them... Irresponsible people always put the blame some where else, rather than taking responsibility for their own actions. If my children murder in my name, am I responsible? If my children allow bad things to happen to other people when they have the means to stop it and they don't, am I responsible? And if God did step in, who would be left? Have you never done anything to hurt some one else, anything? Cut me a break, and start being responsible for your own actions, and stop blaming your short commings on some one or some thing else. And if some one causes you harm, try putting the blame where it goes, on the man or woman who caused that harm, not God. I always find it stupid sounding when people say: "There can't be a God or he wouldn't allow suffering" For God to not allow suffering would mean taking YOUR FREEDOM of CHOICE away from YOU. And if you do not have freedom of choice, what are YOU, but a slave! I have the freedom to choose, either to do good or evil, I choose to do good, and if I, in any way harm another, I will take responsibility for the harm I do and not blame it on another as it would seem that most do. Like I said, pretty SAD!

Why do parents allow their children to do evil? Shouldn't parents be responsible, and be punished for the evil their adult children do? If an adult child comments murder, then the parents should be put to death, because they birthed that child, so they are responsible for every action that child commits all through their lives. Sound reasonable to you? Always love moronic reasoning... And if your parents are still alive, you must be perfect?

Further incite on Dawkin's The God Delusion
by Abandoned ini started a thread after i finished the first chapter of this book entitled something like, i'm an atheist.
i finished chapter three and i have to backtrack a bit, but i also feel the need to explain why since i was so vocal.. first, let me say that i think everyon should read the first two chapters of the god delusion by richard dawkins.
he brings up some very important points about religion and about science's place in our world.

OK, can anyone tell me where they hid all the half evolved animals ! I don't seem to be able to find any...huh... You'd think that any reasoning man or woman would ask..."why don't we see any half evolved critters, ya know, like, half snake and half bird or half fish and half woman?" did evolution stop or something? Why are there no inter-mixed species, like a goat and a dog? I mean, if we came out of a puddle of mud like some say... there should always be transitional evidence.. as of this date there is none.(period) I respecfully wait for the evidence...and wait...and wait...LOL Hi Lovelylil, always enjoy your comments. Hi Jeremiah, Here's an article from the 1979 WT 1/1 30-31, 2004 CD Here's a excerpt:
*** w79 1/1 p. 30 Questions from Readers ***
Questions from Readers
• Is it true that for religious reasons Jehovah’s Witnesses may not become members of the YMCA (Young Men’s Christian Association)?
In joining the YMCA (or United Nations) as a member a person accepts or endorses the general objectives and principles of the organization. He is not simply paying for something he receives, such as when buying things being sold to the public at a store. (Compare 1 Corinthians 8:10; 10:25.) Nor is his membership merely an entry pass, as when a person buys a theater ticket. Membership means that one has become an integral part of this organization founded with definite religious objectives, including the promotion of interfaith. Hence, for one of Jehovah’s Witnesses to become a member of such a so-called "Christian" (or UN aka Beast) association would amount toapostasy.
Some individuals have on occasion not become members but have paid a onetime admission fee, viewing this as simply paying for a commercial service available. Even in this regard it is wise to consider whether this course will adversely affect the consciences of others.—1 Cor. 8:11-13.
Did the WTS consider the consciences of other's?
Did they really follow their own priciples as set out in the YMCA article, when dealing with the UN? Or, did they have other motives in becomming members of the UN? which motive's show a lack of faith in their God Jehovah. Just the fact the're a corporation shows a lack of faith in God. Because they became a corporation for legal protection, which shows they really don't trust their God to deliver them from evil or direct their affairs. They rely on the State for their protection not God. Acadian -

Having children a fundamental right??!!
by hamsterbait ini was talking with a traditional catholic friend, who was up in arms that in some third world countries (allegedly) people are being given aid only if they agree not to have any more children.. "how can anybody do this?
having children is their right.".
in a world that is already being catastrophically damaged in air earth and water by a burgeoning population, is it correct to insist on this?

Pleasuredome:
unfortunately, god overlooked economic prudence when he said "be fruitful....." etc
I would disagree, man became greedy, power hungry, wanting to put even his fellow man under his subjection and dominace. All actions come with responcibilities. Whether having children, is a right or not,... if you cannot handle the responcibility you should not have children. And that goes for all things. don't take on that which you cannot be responcible for. (where's Kid-B when you need him, I can't spell worth crap) Acadian

Thanks Dave for your comment. Some interesting thoughts in the article, and your right we weren't taught alot of important things in school. Like what it really means when you put your signiture on something. If they have to ask for permission from you, by getting your signiture, then we should be asking why, and, what are we giving up in return? I go to http://www.suijuris.net/ it has alot of good info. If more people would educate themselves concerning the law, they would soon see how the wool has been pulled over their eyes concerning their live's and their liberty's and maybe then they'll start to speak up and ask questions. Tetrapod sapien:
hey dude. it seems it is in vogue to hate bush these days (finally! i felt like a lone voice in the wilderness for a while there, back on septemeber 12 2001). of course, bush is just a metaphor for the ignorance. the true criminals are everyone who refuses to change inside, and continue to vote people like bush in, and continue to support the power structures that be, instead of taking up the mantle of their own individuality in relation to the cosmos.
it doesn't have anything to do with left or right. left wing, right wing, two wings on the same bird. there is only one party in this country, and it's theProperty Party. and it has two right wings. the democrats and the republicans. one wears striped ties, and the other paisley ties. i hope this gives you some perspective. (emphsis by acadian)
it "amuses" me to no end, that the true lesson to be learned from these horrid tragedies has not been learned at all by the large majority of americans. and the true, ultimate, humbling lesson is (drum roll s.v.p): whatever! you have to learn it yourselves! that'll be the last hint i give you! sheesh...
Thanks Tetra, couldn't of said it better! -

I have three children, all grown up now.
Now, if by, following some people's example for they're being no God. (because of suffering) Then all parents are crappy parents. Me included.
As a loving parent I should do all I can to make sure no harm or suffering come to my children through out their lives, right? I should follow them every where they go and make sure no one hurts them, right?
I should be able to take away the free choice of those who in ANY way (words or deeds) might hurt my children, right? So, when my children don't listen to my counsel, direction that will lead to their happiness, and their lives are filled with suffering because of not listening, whose fault is it if their lives suck?
The parents or the children's?
My children were given instructions for living, a foundation to base their decisions on. If they decide not to listen and their lives are full of suffering is that my fault? If others do harm to them is that my fault?
So, as a good parent, I should get rid of all those who hurt my children, right?
Who would be left, not me, and not you.
And as far as natural disasters, I have an answer for that too, but if you do not understand the spirit of God's word, you won't understand this: the story of Adam and Eve, and the story of the prodigal son. When you understand the relationship between these two stories, you'll understand why man suffers due to natural disasters and by the hand of man.
But if you don't believe in God and deny his spirit, you will never understand the true meaning and relationship between the two.

1 Cor 2: 10-14 "The Message"
10-13 The Spirit, not content to flit around on the surface, dives into the depths of God, and brings out what God planned all along. Who ever knows what you're thinking and planning except you yourself?
The same with God—except that he not only knows what he's thinking, but he lets us in on it. God offers a full report on the gifts of life and salvation that he is giving us. We don't have to rely on the world's guesses and opinions. We didn't learn this by reading books or going to school; we learned it from God, who taught us person-to-person through Jesus, and we're passing it on to you in the same firsthand, personal way.
14-16 The unspiritual self, just as it is by nature, can't receive the gifts of God's Spirit. There's no capacity for them. They seem like so much silliness. Spirit can be known only by spirit—God's Spirit and our spirits in open communion. Spiritually alive, we have access to everything God's Spirit is doing, and can't be judged by unspiritual critics. Isaiah's question, "Is there anyone around who knows God's Spirit, anyone who knows what he is doing?"has been answered: Christ knows, and we have Christ's Spirit.

1 Cor 2: 10-16 "Amplified Bible"
10 'Yet to us God has unveiled and revealed them by and through His Spirit, for the [Holy] Spirit searches diligently, exploring and examining everything, even sounding the profound and bottomless things of God [the divine counsels and things hidden and beyond man's scrutiny].
11 For what person perceives (knows and understands) what passes through a man's thoughts except the man's own spirit within him? Just so no one discerns (comes to know and comprehend) the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.
12 Now we have not received the spirit [that belongs to] the world, but the [Holy] Spirit Who is from God, [given to us] that we might realize and comprehend and appreciate the gifts [of divine favor and blessing so freely and lavishly] bestowed on us by God.
13 And we are setting these truths forth in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the [Holy] Spirit, combining and interpreting spiritual truths with spiritual language [to those who possess the Holy Spirit].
14 But the natural, nonspiritual man does not accept or welcome or admit into his heart the gifts and teachings and revelations of the Spirit of God, for they are folly (meaningless nonsense) to him; and he is incapable of knowing them [of progressively recognizing, understanding, and becoming better acquainted with them] because they are spiritually discerned and estimated and appreciated.
15 But the spiritual man tries all things [he examines, investigates, inquires into, questions, and discerns all things], yet is himself to be put on trial and judged by no one [he can read the meaning of everything, but no one can properly discern or appraise or get an insight into him].
16 For who has known or understood the mind (the counsels and purposes) of the Lord so as to guide and instruct Him and give Him knowledge? But we have the mind of Christ (the Messiah) and do hold the thoughts (feelings and purposes) of His heart. '

Non believers always say, show me proof or "give us a sign"... ok.... open your eyes... look up, look down, look at your thumb...gee your...(Oops sorry) look all around... look in the mirror... the proof is all around you, you just don't want to accept it.
If you don't understand God's word, maybe you need God's spirit and the Mind of the Christ...
