Are you a "White Witch"? Some Witches like to explain that they practice only "white" magick. This is probably their way of assuring you that they don't cast "evil spells" or try to manipulate you through their magickal talents. The term white witch was much more prevalent in the early 1990's, possibly as a need to be more politically correct or to counter the prejudices of those who would do them harm before New Age ideas became more popular. Some African-American and Native American Witches take offense to being called white Witches as the term implies race to them.
Magick really isn't black or white. It just is. The idea of black or white is to differentiate between the intentions. White being good, according to the theory, and black being malicious.
One popular Wiccan author refuses to consider her work to be black magick but does practice "Dark" magick. "Dark isn't the same as evil," she says. Dark can relate to any type of protection or defensive spell, and this particular woman is very strong in her protection rituals. She would never cast a healing spell without the permission of the patient or perform any ritual that would bring ill will to another human being.
Think of Kestrel Firehawk in Flying By Night when she invokes Hecate, the Dark Mother, to protect her family and get her through this terrible crossroads in her life.
Most Pagans believe in karma, reincarnation, and/or some form of cause and effect. You may have encountered the same beliefs among Buddhists. You get back what you send out. What goes around, comes around. Do unto others as you'd have them do unto you.
It's as simple as this: if the guy who sold you your car cheated you by rolling back the odometer, he'll get that same energy back. Maybe he'll be cheated tomorrow. Or maybe his disgruntled customers will talk to all their friends, and soon no one will buy a car from him and he'll go bankrupt. Maybe he'll never be able to hang onto any financial gain. Or maybe he'll spend his next lifetime in jail as a car thief.
Wiccans subscribe to a set of rules known as the Wiccan Rede, which says to do what you will but harm none. Some Wiccans try to take the Rede very literally, trying not to hurt any living thing, including insects. Most Wiccans fall somewhere toward the middle of the interpretation: don't perform magick to hurt another person or attempt to alter their destinies (including healing spells) without their permission.
Still other Wiccans perceive "harm none" as a call to protection and justice and believe that practicing magick responsibly includes doing what you can to make sure no one is hurt. For example, if you don't practice magick to protect or defend and you have those abilities to work with the elements and Deity that most people don't have, then you are in fact doing harm, the same as if you had caused the harm directly. Following through with this call to defense might include performing magick to locate a serial rapist and bring him to justice or to reveal the identity of a terrorist so your community will be protected.
The differing interpretations have been the source of heated discussions in Pagan communities around the world. Do you let Karma take care of murderers for you? Or do you cast a spell so that the murderer will be found and brought to justice? Each Pagan has his or her own convictions in this matter, just as people of all religions do.
Do Witches ever do harm intentionally, other than bringing criminals to justice, if that's perceived by some as harm? Yes, some do--just as people of all religions occasionally do bad or unethical things.
Occasionally, you hear of a Pagan High Priest (whether real or supposed) who wants to make sex with teenage girls part of the initiation into his coven. We don't know. We've yet to meet him. However, we do personally know Baptist clergy who were arrested for molesting little boys in their churches and Catholic priests who were charged with having kiddie porn on their computers. That certainly doesn't mean that all preachers and priests should be tossed in jail or burned at the stake.
Doing harm doesn?t have to be a major criminal activity. It can be little things that leave the victim with a distaste for a particular religion if we aren't careful. Haven't we all dealt with the office Power-Ranger or gossipy neighbor who could be unbelievably dastardly behind our backs and yet first in line to let everyone know they sing in the church choir, lead prayer circles, or teach Sunday School? Haven't you ever wanted to call their pastor or religious leader and tell them to ask this person NOT to tell anyone about their religion because they're such bad examples? And especially not to advertise their religion alongside their profession if they can't be counted on to act ethically?
There are good and bad people of all faiths. We should all strive to be the best possible representative of the Deity (or Deities) we follow, because--like it or not--we are Their representative.

THE "PROPHET""These questions can be answered in the affirmative. Who is this prophet? The clergy of the so-called "Christian" nations hold themselves before the people as being the ones commissioned to speak for God. But, as pointed out in the previous issue of this magazine, they have failed God and failed as proclaimers of his kingdom by approving a man-made political organization, the League of Nations (now the United Nations), as "the political expression of the Kingdom of God on earth."
However, Jehovah did not let the people of Christendom, as led by the clergy, go without being warned that the League was a counterfeit substitute for the real kingdom of God. He had a "prophet" to warn them. This "prophet" was not one man, but was a body of men and women. So let Deuteronomy 18:20-22 be your guide:
20 "?However, the prophet who presumes to speak in my name a word that I have not commanded him to speak or who speaks in the name of other gods, that prophet must die. 21 And in case you should say in your heart: "How shall we know the word that Jehovah has not spoken?" 22 when the prophet speaks in the name of Jehovah and the word does not occur or come true, that is the word that Jehovah did not speak. With presumptuousness the prophet spoke it. You must not get frightened at him.
So if we compare the WTS's record to Deuteronomy 18:20-22 we get a pretty clear answer
In conclusion if the WTS is Gods organization, then God's all screwed-up, dosen't know what he's doing ( he dosen't seem to be able to make up his/her mind, flip/flop...can't get dates right either )

as dates come and go, we hear about ''new light'', but according to the wt :-a new view of truth never can contradict a former truth.

but I was faithful and waited on Jehovah 20 yrs.. But the B.S. just got deeper, so started doing my own research, well I came to the conclusion the WTS needed a new light bulb, a whole new electical system for that matter!
Anyway I D.A.'ed myself , not formally I don't feel the need, but I still love the friends, at least the ones that weren't back-biters, gossipers and just all around trouble makers ( that doesn't leave many ).

can anyone tell me the date when the wt teaching of fds's appointment over master's belongings became an official doctrine of the society?
was it a new 'truth' revealed in a wt circa 1914/19, or was the doctrine developed piecemeal in hindsight because subsequent events seemed to indicate it?

This indicates that for some time before Christ arrived to settle accounts with his spirit-anointed slaves, they would have been dispensing spiritual food to members of the Christian congregation, God?s household. Whom did Christ find doing so when he returned with kingly power in 1914 and proceeded to inspect the house of God in 1918??Malachi 3:1-4; Luke 19:12; 1 Peter 4:17.16
As the long period of Jesus? waiting at Jehovah?s right hand drew to a close, it gradually became apparent who was giving spiritual food supplies to Christ?s domestics even in the time prior to 1914. Do you think it was Christendom?s churches? Certainly not, for they were deeply involved in politics. They had been willing tools of colonial expansion and had tried to outdo one another to prove their patriotism, thus encouraging nationalism. This soon brought heavy bloodguilt upon them, that is, when they gave their active support to political governments involved in the first world war. Spiritually, their faith had been weakened by Modernism. A spiritual crisis was brought about because many of their clergy became easy prey to higher criticism and evolution. On arriving to inspect his slaves in 1918, therefore, whom did the Master, Jesus Christ, find giving to his body of attendants their measure of food supplies at the proper time? In its issue of November 1, 1944, The Watchtower stated: "In 1878, forty years before the Lord?s coming to the temple in 1918, there was a class of sincere consecrated Christians that had broken away from the hierarchic and clergy organizations and who sought to practice Christianity . . . The following year, namely, in July, 1879, that the truths which God through Christ provided as ?food in due season? might be regularly distributed to all his household of consecrated children, this magazine, The Watchtower, began to be published."20
Supplying information on the development of the modern-day Governing Body, the December 15, 1971, issue of The Watchtower explained: "Five years later [in 1884] Zion?s Watch Tower Tract Society was incorporated and served as an ?agency? to minister spiritual food to thousands of sincere persons seeking to know God and to understand his Word . . . Dedicated, baptized, anointed Christians became associated with that Society at headquarters in Pennsylvania. Whether on the Board of Directors or not, they rendered themselves available for special work of the ?faithful and discreet slave? class. They aided in the feeding and directing of the slave class, and thus a governing body made its appearance. This was evidently under the guidance of Jehovah?s invisible active force or holy spirit. Also, under the direction of the Head of the Christian congregation, Jesus Christ."21
In 1918, when Jesus Christ inspected those claiming to be his slaves, he found an international group of Christians publishing Bible truths for use both inside the congregation and outside in the preaching work. In 1919 it truly turned out to be as Christ had foretold: "Happy is that slave if his master on arriving finds him doing so. Truly I say to you, He will appoint him over all his belongings." (Matthew 24:46, 47) These true Christians entered into the joy of their Master. Having shown themselves "faithful over a few things," they were appointed by the Master to be "over many things." (Matthew 25:21) The faithful slave and its Governing Body were in place, ready for a widened assignment. How glad we should be that this was so, for loyal Christians are richly benefiting from the devoted work of the faithful slave and its Governing Body!Boy, what a load of crap!
In truth all those who follow the "Way" Jesus taught, are the faithful slave .

predictions for the end of the world have been going on since the time of christ, and in every century since then.
during the past 100 years there have been more predictions for the end of the world than have been made in all the previous centuries combined.
many of these prophesied dates have since come and gone.. people look around and see the possibility of many different natural or man-made disasters by which the end could come.
