Do we trade one arrogant "I am right" for another "I am right" attitude?
by free2beme inwhen i was a witness, i was very arrogant in my life in thinking i was right in all things.
the right religion, the right bible, the right understanding and the right lifestyle.
when i left, it was not hard to shake this arrogance and i found at times i was the same person, only with a different "right" message and i annoyed my witness relatives as much as they annoying me.

Hello All !
So, are you arrogant and right in your beliefs? qt. freetobeme
Only insomuch as saying my beliefs are right for ME. qt. LDHI agree with you LDH, my belief's are right for me. As far as what other's believe, as long as harming no one is part of what they believe I have no problem with their belief's. the one thing I noticed when I first started studying with JWs, was the arrogant additude display toward non-JWs in their comments. Looking back, I can remember quite a few instances where terms such as "dirt bags" "scum bags" and other non.enduring terms were used But, I closed my eyes for almost 20 yrs until I couldn't take the hypocricy anymore. Believe what you want, and be who you are, but harm no one ! Acadian

Welcome to the board, Path! How do you know that JWs are not satan worshippers, for instance they practice one of the largest denials of christ by any other group on the night of the memorial. You should look at their history, and you will see the failed predictions, flip flops on beliefs, which have caused some their live's, and a number of other irregulaities. Another thing to consider, as far as truth is concerned, many religions teach truth's, but, not all they teach, is truth. And that can be said of the WTS. Do the research on the WTS's HISTORY !!! DON'T TAKE OUR WORD FOR IT ! Acadian

I realize people hear lack faith, Can't change them, but may this will help
by jw inthe apostle paul told the christians in the ancient city of philippi: "this is what i continue praying, that your love may abound yet more and more with accurate knowledge and full discernment.
philippians 1:9
similarly, accurate knowledge is needed for you to be motivated to believe in god.

The Point of this Site?
by Samael inforgive me if i sound rude or this question has been answered elsewhere, as i am a neophyte and discovered your site through google in my religious studies.
from reading the various posts it seems that this site serves nothing more than an iconoclastic purpose.
was your experience as jw's so traumatic that now you can but put forth such effort to daemonize the religion?

I couldn't of said it better Blondie! To possibly save a life, by letting people know the real truth behind the watch tower and their beliefs
which have a bad habit of changing and flip- flopping. Acadian -

They claim to represent God...to be the only channel on earth that God is using... Here's a few qoutes from the Watchtower mag. from 1972, and the Bible...
*** w72 4/1 p. 197 ‘They Shall Know that a Prophet Was Among Them’ ***"A third way of coming to know Jehovah God is through his representatives. In ancient times he sent prophets as his special messengers. While these men foretold things to come, they also served the people by telling them of God’s will for them at that time, often also warning them of dangers and calamities. People today can view the creative works. They have at hand the Bible, but it is little read or understood. So, does Jehovah have a prophet to help them, to warn them of dangers and to declare things to come?" w72 4/1 p. 197
"IDENTIFYING
THE "PROPHET""These questions can be answered in the affirmative. Who is this prophet? The clergy of the so-called "Christian" nations hold themselves before the people as being the ones commissioned to speak for God. But, as pointed out in the previous issue of this magazine, they have failed God and failed as proclaimers of his kingdom by approving a man-made political organization, the League of Nations (now the United Nations), as "the political expression of the Kingdom of God on earth."
(HMMM, the WTS had a 10 year association with the United Nations, what does that make them?)However, Jehovah did not let the people of Christendom, as led by the clergy, go without being warned that the League was a counterfeit substitute for the real kingdom of God. He had a "prophet" to warn them. This "prophet" was not one man, but was a body of men and women. It was the small group of footstep followers of Jesus Christ, known at that time as International Bible Students. Today they are known as Jehovah’s Christian witnesses. They are still proclaiming a warning, and have been joined and assisted in their commissioned work by hundreds of thousands of persons who have listened to their message with belief.
Of course, it is easy to say that this group acts as a "prophet" of God. It is another thing to prove it. The only way that this can be done is to review the record. What does it show?
w72 4/1 p. 197Now let's look at how bible describes a prophet of God...
(Deuteronomy 18:20-22) 20
"‘However, the prophet who presumes to speak in my name a word that I have not commanded him to speak or who speaks in the name of other gods, that prophet must die. 21 And in case you should say in your heart: "How shall we know the word that Jehovah has not spoken?" 22 when the prophet speaks in the name of Jehovah and the word does not occur or come true, that is the word that Jehovah did not speak. With presumptuousness the prophet spoke it. You must not get frightened at him.’. . . I invite you to look at the history of the WTS, from it's beginning to the present, the facts don't lie, the WTS does... Acadian

Welcome to the board pysc,
Why do JW hypocrites PROVE that they're a cult?
I don't understand the question, I'm not a JW anymore, but I was for twenty years. And I know their hypocrites, Read this post about the YMCA and the United Nations. http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/11/111458/1945164/post.ashx#1945164 Here's something to consider "New Light" IN the WTS world, "New Light" can make an old truth invalid, and sometimes makes old truths that were made invalid, valid again...go figure? How can something be truth one day and not the next? And then become's truth again, later on? In truth, "New LIght" never d iminishes old light, but it makes that truth more understandable, unlike the WTS policy of flip flopping on their belief's which have cost the live's of many. . How many live's have been lost because of their "New Light" teaching's Don't be fooled by the pretty exterior, because inside, is full of dead men's bones, and all sorts of disgusting things. A rose by any other name still smells like a rose. And shyt by any other name still smells like shyt. Kind Regards Acadian
