  Your experience happened to me as well when I was a teen. So in the past I?ve been ?marked? as well as announced as ?bad association? that was before the ?un-baptized publisher? was thought up of. All of it is very controlling, but controlled by men not God. I don?t believe God has set curfews. But welcome to the board, I look forward to your thoughts and postings.

  Is this WTS teaching a contradiction?

  the wts does not believe the soul is anything other than a person's whole being but they teach that the 144,000 are resurrected to heaven as immortal beings.

  can anyone explain what they really are trying to say?

  i hope this makes a little bit of sense.

  I get ya, of there is no soul, in that regard, what goes to heaven in the case of the 144,000. Can't say I ever thought of it like that.I would imagine they think the body gets reinvented in spirit form.

  After some thought, I have a problem with the word "rebel." Does having your own thoughts or your own head make you a rebel? Rebel against what? The group? Each group is made of individuals and is what the WTBTS try to kill, the individual.

  did any of you people notice the earthquake in indonesia two days ago?

  well it didn't cause any tsunami but it was quite heavy (8.somthin).

  anyway, i realized that this earthquake came the day after easter, like the tsunami came the day after xmas.

  Jobs For The Boyz

  i don't know what the situation is in the rest of the world, but here, jw's seem to have a very limited field of employment.

  they are, in approximate order of preference:.

  double glazing salesperson.. window cleaner.. door to door brush sales.. painter & decorator.. there seems to be virtually no professional occupations that are enjoyed by jw's.

  I always loved experiences from assemblies, Brothers and Sisters that were given lucrative careers but turned it for part-time toilet cleaning jobs so they can pioneer, and they have never been happier. Crazy stuff? Luckily I?ve seen past the B.S. and have gone back to college before it?s to late and I?m to old. But, you should hear my parents?."Why you doing that? The end will come before you get a degree." But, back to the point, JW?s need the weak, the educated or the motivated don?t last to long as JW?s.

  Bas, what?s up bud? This is another topic I?m torn on. On one hand the universe is so vast that our mind can barley comprehend it. To think that Earth is the only planet with life is a bit illogical when you think how large an area we are talking about. And I would like to hope there are beings smarter then we are. But on the flip side, if that were true I think we would have more proof of their existence.

  i was just watching the news and the un is in some pretty bad trouble, teenage prostitution scandal, oil for food scandal, ect.. it seems that they are slipping quickly into insignificance.

  I agree with most of you, the prophecies are so vague they could almost nominate anyone. I love the spin they say "we recognize the fulfillment of prophecies long after they?ve been fulfilled." Translation- that gives us enough time to come up with a good story. But, they?ve pushed the UN so hardcore, would they dare change it? I think at that time there would be a mass exodus out of the organization. That could be the proverbial straw that broke the camels back. There are many hanging on for the "just in case" factor.
