Good question....Now I would take blood if my life depended on it, I would have reservations but I would. Not sure if I would donate. Some things are just to deeply programed.....

Blood- would you/have you given/taken it?
by Crumpet insince leaving the jws and joining my current company i get asked every six months to give blood.
i've never done it and still feel as if i had an accident i would be very reluctant to have a transfusion.. if its not too personal can i ask what others views are on this and your experiences if any?.

Six Billion Hearts Will Soon Stop Beating. . .
by ACEofCAD inannounced our circuit overseer last night in his talk about the urgency to preach because of the times.
followed by a silence that was broken with ohhhs and ahhhs.
he said that a couple of times throughout his part, simulating a beating heart with his fist.

Pure and simple fear tactic. If you don't want to die, go out and preach.!!!!!! Something tells me Jesus wasn't that kind of guy, in fact he said, have faith in me and you will be saved. Pretty easy. These dicks have made it a matter of works not faith.

Mp3sharing like breaking bread
by Bas inwell, i came to this when i was sharing numb/encore by jz/linkinpark with a friend of mine.
the song actually mentions breaking the bread, but what i mean is when u share a mp3 you still have the full song, sort of like the breaking of the bread story.
i'm also on a p2p network where i can download mp3's.

Job and the resurrection
by peacefulpete inoften the wt claims that the writer of job believed in the resurrection doctrine as espoused by the jws.
the usual verses lifted from context are 14:13-15 which says: .
if only you would set me a time .

Yup, but it is made to sound like it is in conjunction with their birthdays.

My bad, Job wasn't at the celebrations, all his kids were, but he does call them and offer gifts after such feasts.

-if ever in your mind you wonder as to whether the leadership at watchtower has some level of sincerity, or perhaps as you move deeper into your pursuit of the real truth, you find yourself having doubts that you are doing the right thing in "doubting" the watchtower ?then read on.

Great thread guys.....
Ok, if God hardened Pharaoh?s heart, where was Pharaoh?s free will? Did he have a chance? Was God using him to prove how tough he is? What about all the deaths the plagues may have caused? When I was under control it seems like a great story showing God?s mercy and giving Pharaoh chances to turn around. But now I see it a bit more clearly?.Pharaoh didn?t have chance, God wouldn?t allow him to turn, even if he wanted to. The more I read and study the Bible?.the less sense it?s starting to make?..

Peacefullpete, your not supposed to read the context, what?s wrong with you? Job is a pretty interesting book; here?s a thought, what of followers of God hold to local traditions and/or customs? Here?s what I mean, the book says that Job was the greatest of all the Orientals, what if his customs differed from Middle Eastern customs, where most of the Bible takes place? In the opening verses of Job it mentions Job celebrating birthdays with is children. This may explain his seemingly different opinion on the resurrection. Different location, different views but still a "faithful" one. Just me thinking??..
