  they are selling their ny city bethel properties and moving to a nicer climate due to the poor health of the aging bethel staff.

  the ranch seems to be an ideal fit for for them.

  List of family/friends lost to the Watchtower cult? (suicides)

  after reading about puternuts (ari) suicide, and also reading about sabine and js losing their daughter to this cult, i think it would be a fitting memorial, so to speak, to write a list of all the people we know who died because of this cult.

  i also know that cruzanheart lost her dad to it, too.

  i'm sure there are many here that can make a list of suicides brought on by the shunning/threatening policies of the watchtower cult.

  From rural upstate NY, a JW mother (mid 40s) asked her son to show her how to handle a shotgun so "in case she was ever confronted by a rabid animal, she could defend herself." It's a very reasonable request, so son thought nothing of it.
  
  A week later, she used to gun on herself.
  
  Out of respect for the family, she was "allowed" a full Witness funeral. Good family friend. Not disfellowship or anything, but the unhealthy JW mental climate contributed.

  sure there is things like killing the gb or placing a bomb in the brooklyn bethel but these ways are strongly not acceptable and the jw would think that the great tribulation arrived.... .

  fred franz was known to have some knowledge of the greek and hebrew languages, and made use of that knowledge when he worked on the new world translation of the holy scriptures.

  but he died in 1992. is there anyone at bethel today who has a knowledge of these biblicl languages?.

  it would be strange if a religious book publishing organization turned out to have no one at all who could read the bible in its original languages.. does anyone know what people are currently on the watchtower's bible translation committee, and if they know the languages?.

  I thought there used to be a version of the NWT that had the original language beneath the English translation. At least for the New Testament. Anyone remember that? Or am I thinking of something else.
