Morty, I have relatives on my mom's side, who are so filthy, my one aunt was almost DF'd for her unclean house. My parents would not even let us in her house when we were young, she had dishes from a month past, piled up all over, their dogs had crapped all over, and no-one bothered to pick it up. The cats peed and did their business everywhere too, and my aunt's older kids came back home to live with their newborn babies....go figure!!! I think that's why my mom was so OPPOSITE....she was a clean freak extraordinaire.

How Clean is your House?
by morty inhow clean is your house?.
i just love this show.. kim and aggie run into some pretty disturbing homes i must admit.
i am certainly not on the list of the most disgusting homes but, dont have the most organized house on the street..... i like cleanliness in all parts of my home( cat litter empted, dishes cleaned, bathroom area very sanitary, floors cleaned, carpets vacuumed, garbage emptied if full, candles burning, the furniture and carpet deodorized daily, the dog has to be bathed regular, ash trays dumped and cleaned every time i finish smoking in the back room, and finally, the supper dishes must be done before i go to bed... i could not give two sh*ts if the bed did not get made properly, the kids room has dirty laundry on it or all their junk, they dont have their beds made every day, the computer desk has bills/papers lying on it, the cats/dogs food runs out of dish, there is a cob web up in the corner of the living room, ( thats a great decoration for this time of the year anyways...lol) the wires are showing from the t.v and dvd player, there are a few pairs of shoes at the door at not put away on the shoe rack, there is a coat on the back of a chair instead of hung up, and the pillows and blankets are scattered all over the couch for comfort (at night only, not during the day unless it is the weekend).

Jayhawk said," My house is clean enough to be healthy and dirty enough to be happy. I like that, and I can honestly say, this describes my house!! .......when I was young, my mom was always ripping the entire house apart, on the weekend, and we were not allowed to do anything, unless it was all cleaned and put back together properly. I hated weekends. When I clean, it's one room at a time, so the entire house is not a disaster zone. My boys are supposed to make their beds every morning, and throw their dirty clothes in the hamper. I like my dishes to be done every night too and put away. I cannot stand clutter, so I make sure things are put away in their place, and I can't stand dirt, but I'm not as bad as when I was young. I'd vaccuum every single day,and dust, and if the kids had a toy out of place, I'd whisk it away to the toybox....I ran myself ragged. Not anymore....the entire house gets cleaned once a week, and vaccuumed once a week, unless there's a mess. Morty, I also have candles and incense burning, and pillows and blankets for cuddling on the couch....it's just cosy....and you can put your feet up on my coffee table too!!!

Concept of Forgiveness..is it an essential element of dealing and healing?
by My MILs worst nightmare, a nonJW ina famous family counselor/author/lecturer/pastor presented the following opinion about forgiveness during a conference that i was videotoaping.
he said that when an abuse victim finally reaches out, the majority of christian counselors tell the victim to forgive the abuser as a means of dealing and healing.
he asserted that in his opinion this is a very unchristian thing to do since you are asking the victim to do what even god does not immediately do.

I was finally able to forgive the man who abused me, when I saw him, lying in hospital, hooked up to life support. I stood in the doorway, watching the machine, breath for him, and suddenly, I felt sorry for him. He was about to answer to God for all his crimes...........and in that instant, all the rage, and everything else I'd felt over the years, slipped away. It was like a huge weight was lifted off me, and I whispered a goodbye to him, turned and left the room.
Now, I am able to refer to him as my grandfather.

Did you get the new tract?
by kid-A injust wanted to run an informal poll to see how "effective" or hopelessly "ineffective" the borg tract assimilation drive has been.. i for one, have not received the tract, and i live in densely populated development.
did anybody get it left in their doors/mailboxes?.

Well, Mary's auntie gave me a tract, the very first day of their campaign. She told me how they had 3 weeks to get it into the hands of every person in the world, and then after that, they fully expect armageddon to begin. I had to wonder who was going to be brave
stupidenough to go to the warzones and hand soldier and insurgent alike, their free personal copy???I wasn't at all surprised by what the tract had to say....same bullshite, different year.

Do You Really "Care" If Someone's Gay Or Not???
by minimus inso often, you see people all up in arms because it is revealed that an individual is "gay".
do you really care??
personally, i don't.

Ballistic said," I was actually getting annoyed in the end.
LMAO.....no pun intended, right? sorry, I just couldn't help myself....
I don't care if a person is gay or not. My nephew, mid-teens, just "came out" this year, and I love him to pieces....no different than before he told us he was gay. My only fear, was that at his tender age, he would meet up with some trouble from other teens at school.

Weird experience
by Dawn inthis weekend i was having a discussion with my husband about "listening to that inner voice" - you know, the one that says you should take that risk because you could be a real success, but you talk yourself out of it.
or it tells you not to trust that office mate, but you convince yourself you're being silly, only to get back-stabbed later on.
that "inner voice" that somehow can notice those subtle, unconscious messages that we miss in our conscious state.. i told my husband that i was going to work on listening to that voice - and stop talking myself out of things when i just know it is something i should do - mostly with career decisions and relationships in mind.. after this discussion i head to the grocery store to get some goodies for the football game.

I always listen to my inner voice....it's usually always right!! Good for you, Dawn...about 2 months ago, I'd bought a ticket, and forgot about it. I took it in, about a month later to check it, along with 3 others. The first two were not winners. The 3rd one was a $98.50 winner, plus a free ticket, the 4th one was a free ticket. That's the most I've ever won...so I did my little happy dance in the store, and the clerk laughed her ass off....
