Thanks for the hugs sister. Next time I'm in Ontario, I'll stop by and see you and your husband. I know you like good beer and he likes good Scotch. Nuff said.
You'd better....we'd love to have you and your son...my youngest son is almost 13...
i was talking to my trying-to-exit-the-cult fraternal twin brother yesterday about life, the jehovah's witness cult, and our jw parents.. he repeated, calmly and succintly, that he hates our parents.
i could not argue with him.
i used to, being a parent myself.

good morning everyone!!.
happy sunday!!
yesterday we went to our local farmers market and came across a vender that had a whole honey bees display.
I read in the newspaper, that in Canada, we've had this happen in years past, where colonies of bees have died, but I don't recall there being this much hype about it before.
I also was told, by a science professor, friend of mine, that where there have been a colony of bees that die off, from what the scientists think are parasites, new colonies will not dwell in that particular hive.
It could be all hype, but I think it's something that needs to be addressed. If the bees all die off, there will be no pollination and we will suffer. I heard on the radio that we would be reduced to eating grass and grains...that food that we once enjoyed, would be history.
Apparently there are people who are breeding bees....
Hi there Spawnofnvr....welcome to the forum, nice to have you on board.

Ooh, I love weddings....Have a happy day tomorrow you two, and best wishes ...I hope we get to see some pics???? After the honeymoon, that is....
with all the news concerning the child abuse lawsuits, and from reading many comments concerning the wts' view of women, i started remembering lots of little things that were brought up at my kh in the many years i attended.
i don't remember anything pertaining to the brothers.
but, there were things brought up from the platform that just seem ridiculous.
I remember a friend of mine, was VERY well endowed, and no matter how hard she tried to conceal it, there they were, larger than life. There was a certain elder and PO in the congregation, (and his son), who used to love watching her walk up and down the aisle at the KH with her children....she also had a very nice figure, but she was not flaunting it or anything.
Every meeting, she would cringe, knowing they were watching her. After being"spoken" to, about the way she dressed so provocatively, more than a few times.....she was in tears and it wasn't long before she and her family moved away.
My brother caught this same elder, one evening, pulling over to the side of the road, to offer a young teenage girl, a ride....when the elder saw my brother behind him, he took off.....
this is my first post and im nervous but i've read many so far.
my situation is this im going to be 21 in june and i'm in love with my boyfriend but he not a witness and i am( i have been my entire life) my parent found out and forbid me to see him and even told me to leave, i did leave for a day, but they called me back.
but they still hate that i have any contact with him...and we still want to get married.
....
besides he kinda needs me to marry him for legal reasons
Uh.....DON'T DO IT FOR THIS REASON!!! You're young, you need to experience life as a single person before you go jumping into a marriage....Please heed Jgnat's words.
Finish your schooling, ENJOY yourself...there is no rush...if he truly loves you, he will understand and will wait.
I married a non-witness, and it has worked out great for me, not saying we didn't have our share of troubles, a lot of them in regards to religion early on, but every marriage has it's ups and downs, and we are both now non- witnesses...which makes it easier. And, my family accepted my husband right from the start, as well, so I was lucky there.
I wish you the very best, but please don't rush this.
i believe the moment's right to discuss a very serious matter............................................................beer.
what do you like?
let's edumicate one another!
Delilah its just outside of Chicago! So anytime you and your hubby want to come down its 2 minutes from my house!!
Okeedokee....my hubby used to go to Chicago every other day a couple years ago...Perhaps we'll have to make a special trip to the Windy City....
NVRGNBK.....it's worth the extra sheckels for awesome taste. I looked for Maudite today, but couldn't find it. I bought 24 bottles of J.R. Brickman Honey Red, and it is DEE-LISH.....I'll check out another beer store tonight for that Maudite. I can't wait to try it.
There was one time my husband and my brother made a home brewed cherry stout, and it was incredible. I heard tell, that there was a company who makes it. Anyone know about it? Is it Sam Adams?
And, has anyone tried the new Guinness Red yet? It looks interesting.
