Kids are gonna be kids, I like to think we could still have kids like The Little Rascals and Dennis the Menace. Creative kids doing stupid silly stuff but really, harmless. Look how much Dennis provoked ....whatever that guys name was.
Unfortunately Purps, we live in a far different world than what we and even our parents grew up in. It's far more dangerous, and the kids (some) seem to be hell-bent on being a menace to society. Today, they are packing guns and knives to a fist fight...and the girls seem to be worse than the guys with fighting and laying on the beatings. I worry for my boys...
I'd really hate to be a cop these days....and I'd really hate to be a teacher too, for that matter. There is a real loss of respect these days....if you or I had ever shown such disrespect to our elders, or if we ever had a cop escort us home, we got a whooping like nobody's business. So we just stayed out of trouble. It wasn't worth it.
However, I still think there are plenty of kids out there who are creative, and silly, and harmless....like Dennis the Menace, provoking old Mr. Wilson....

CLEARLY there are bad apples in all parts of society but the cops are SOOOO brow beaten about liability it makes them overreact sometimes.
It's a case of, "damned if you do, damned if you don't". Where I live, they have built a skate park, and there are signs posted all over downtown, "No Skateboarding", and yet, every day you see kids skateboarding down the hill on the main drag. My worry is, that one day, a kid is going to wipe out on his/her board, and land in the path of a car, my car.....then what? Do I, as a driver, get charged, for not having control of my vehicle? Even though the kid is in violation of the bylaw?

I can't think of anything I could or would want to live without. Is that selfish? Maybe I need to sit in the corner, with a glass of wine and my laptop, with the TV on and my cell phone near, the kids in the other room, my hubby watching ESPN and really think about what's important to me?
Too cute!!!!
I could live without tv, I'm not much of a watcher anyhow....EXCEPT, when it's football season, then lookout! I watch every game I can!!
I could not live without the love and support of my husband and children, and my good friends. They are my life.
I learned to live without the internet for a few months , but it was a struggle. Especially when Mary would tell me what was going on, and all that I was missing!!!

What Made You Fall in Love With Your Husband/Wife/Lover ,Significant Other?

when in the witnesses, the fanciful thought is put forward that the main thing important in a marriage is the "threefold cord" having god in your marriage.

actually 25,200,000. now i know some are repeats or whatever.. in checking just a few sites, some sell books, some have only experiences, some have both.
one site i went to about 6 months ago had over 500 experiences.

ill bet if you took a steak into that room with little fido would follow you.
LMAO.....I've always been of the understanding, that animals, particularly, cats and dogs, are very perceptive of the "underworld". I don't know whether it's true or not, but it would not surprise me. Dogs are able to hear high-pitched sounds, that we humans cannot, so why couldn't they hear, or detect, things of a spiritual nature?
I will not argue either, with those who do not believe, but I for one, have had too many experiences, to NOT believe. My husband and children, and even my own practising JW mother, has heard the strange noises in my house. It scared my mom, but it does not scare us. We've heard it too often. Also, there are too many people, that can relate too.
A neighbour around the corner from me, lives in a huge old mansion. They know there is a ghost living there, and when it's around, they can smell either cologne and cigars, or perfume. Their children have "seen" something wandering the front hallway, where the original owners were laid out during their funeral wake, back in the late 1800's. The history of the house is very interesting.
And what about those who are schizophrenic, and claim to hear voices, telling them to do evil things? Son of Sam comes to mind. Was he really in control of his own mind? Or was something far more sinister in control of him? Did he really need medication?Or was it just a crock, an excuse, if you will?! All these questions and more, will probably never be answered, but it makes one wonder......

When I met my husband, I was grease from head to toe.( I was working on my car with my dad.) He stepped out of my brother's car, and when I saw his golden brown eyes sparkle, his shy, sexy grin, and his hands....( a man's gotta have sexy hands you know!) that was it for me.
He stayed for dinner that night, and about 2 and a half months later, we were married. That, was 16 years ago. It just keeps getting better and better.
Did I mention that he had some really intriguing tattoos???? I love tats.

Why do KH's not have any windows?
by jibberish inwhat is the real reason why kingdum halls don't have windows?
to people on the outside looking in that is just too wierd and very cult like like they have something to hide.
wasn't in the 80's when they started to build them without windows?

Because I might be holding a rock. Kidding.
So, it was YOU, who kept breaking the windows in my old KH??? When I was a teen, we used to have different MS's take turns, patrolling the parking lot at the KH, in order to thwart the neighbourhood kids from throwing rocks through the windows.
Finally, after a few years of constant replacing of the glass, they just bricked them in. I noticed the KH where I live now, has windows in front, and you can see inside the main auditorium as you drive by. This KH is about 22 years old.
