I'm leeeeeaving, on a jet plane, la la la la la la la la
by erynw intomorrow morning, 12 hours from now, i will be on my way to disneyworld to meet the mouse in person.
i have wanted to go there ever since i was a kid and now it's happening.
i know i'm going to be 6 years old when i go through those gates.. due to my current health issue, it's going to be physically demanding for me, but i'm going to do my best to see everything i can, for as long as i can and enjoy every second of it.

I can laugh about it today, but....
by delilah inyesterday was a crazy day!!
i woke up with a wicked migraine, took my meds, and went to work.
at noon, i took my husband to work and it was snowing like crazy...so i drove slowly...as i turned the corner, in the country, my car started to slide, and we did a complete circle, coming very close to hitting a hydro pole.

I'm lucky if my meds start to work within 20 mins or so, THEN I can go to work. Otherwise, I'm throwing up and right in bed, no noise and in the dark...that only happens about once every 3 or 4 months, thank god!!
I'm sure that set my day off in the wrong direction, lol. I keep a second key, in my wallet, dumb me!! I never thought I'd go and lock the whole kit and kabootle in the car.I still don't know where my husband's keys are, he insists there here.
PoppieR, I can honestly say, that I'd be freaking too....good thing the baby was sound asleep, oblivious.
Shell, you want some snow??? We are supposedly getting another system come through tomorrow...about 32 cm of the stuff....gotta get my boys ready to shovel....and make sure I have enough change in me pocket, lol.

yesterday was a crazy day!! I woke up with a wicked migraine, took my meds, and went to work. At noon, I took my husband to work and it was snowing like crazy...so I drove slowly...As I turned the corner, in the country, my car started to slide, and we did a complete circle, coming very close to hitting a hydro pole. When we came to a stop, my husband and I burst out laughing, as were other drivers who were looking at us as they turned the corner.
So I dropped him off, and drove home. I got out of the car, opened the back door to get out a cable receiver I was supposed to return, and the remote control slipped out of my hand and went under the car. I carefully went around the door, so as not to close it,( because I had set my purse and the receiver back on the seat, D'OH!!) scooped up the remote, and I hear, "click".
OMG!!! The car was locked up, with my purse and all my keys in it. I've never done anything so stupid in my life! I was so angry at myself, I went into the house, slammed the door, which caused my basement door to fall down...hubby has to put new screws in it....so I stomped downstairs and put more laundry in. Went upstairs, cried my eyes out, poured a coffee, then called my mechanic...he sent a tow truck driver round to help me...they all laughed and told me that they've done it too. The driver said he's done it twice to 2 of his clients, while the car was running.
So I didn't feel so bad after all, and I could then look over the events of the day and laugh. Anyone else need a holiday like I do??

Truth is, I doubt if one in a hundred Witnesses has even heard of it. Leave it on your coffe table, who knows what might happen.
Excellent idea!!

Tell me about it. Just talking about it gets me itchin' . If I set foot in a tattoo parlour or hear a tattoo gun my blood almost itches. It's probably like anything else, everyone has varying levels of addiction
LOL, you sound just like my husband, BigWilly...we both went and got tattoos in September, my first, his, oh I dunno, probably about his 20th or so...he has lots...some are coverups, and he still wants more.
I've got my 2nd tattoo picked out, I just have to figure out where I want it. They ARE addictive.
Edited to add, that I've always liked tattoos, and always knew that I'd be getting some done eventually. I've got my nose pierced, and my ears done a few times. Always wanted to pierce my tongue, and just below my lower lip too, but now I fear I'm too old.....ahhh...

Since being anti muslim walks me into a sword and being pro muslim walks me into another sword I think I shall avoid having an opinion on them at all and stare blankly at this brick wall for a few hours.
lol....I think it's disgusting that this has happened, over religion, and a refusal to wear certain clothing. I'm sorry, but I agree with others who've said, they come to our country, they abide by our laws, just as we have to, when visiting their country.( Although I've no intention or desire to ever go to their country!) Murder is murder, no matter what reasons they think they have. This is Canada, we have laws against it here. Someone asked "where is the mother"? Do you remember a few years ago, in B.C. when a young girl was murdered by her uncle, because she fell in love with a man OTHER than the one they had chosen? The mother played a key role in luring her daughter back to the house, where the daughter KNEW she was going to be murdered, by uncles and brothers. She was a friend of my cousin's, a beautiful girl, who wanted nothing more, than to marry for love, not material gains. This may be "their" way in "their" country, but not in Canada, eh?! Religion IS a snair and a racket!!!

Lies on Line...I always thought JWD was a forum for Honesty
by restrangled inafter finding this forum and being raised in the jw religion, i found jwd a refreshing place for honest feelings, fears, life experiences etc.. the history of the jw's was exposed, and those who lived any experience under this regime has been told by many members.. to be lied to by any forum member is insulting.
i have over my past year and 1/2 come to love many posters.
i realize many more have much longer time put in here.. i have been honest and exposed more of my self than i care to think about, but always kept in mind that others were doing the same and it was best for anyone new.. to lie on this forum to all of these members is horrible and i am questioning why i am so honest here.

Restrangled, I understand how you are feeling. I am an honest person, to a fault, and I expect others to be honest with me. I used to get SO incensed when someone lied to me, or told half-truths. Especially when it was someone from the KH who did the lying.
However, over the years, I have come to realize, that not everyone is like me. So, I tend to take almost everything with a grain of salt,...how does that saying go, "you can believe half of what you see, and none of what you hear"....or something like that. In this case, believe half of what you read.
Try not to be TOO upset. After all, people will be people...not everyone has the same morals, unfortunately. Some people need their egos stroked all the time, for whatever reasons, so they need to tell "stories". I feel very sorry for ones like this....it cannot be an easy life for them.
Please continue to post here, just don't expect everyone you come into contact with, (in cyber-space) to be the "real deal" until you actually meet them, and can assess them in person....then you will not be too angry or hurt, when you find out that the "stories" just don't add up.
