i'm thinking back to my childhood here, and remembering hanging out with my jw friends.
my buddies and i, when we were 9, 10 years old knew that we wouldn't stay jws.
we hated the restrictions that were put on us and hated being different.
I was 10 when my parents became JW's and it was definitely hard.. I was also embarrassed to tell anyone my religion...and I had trouble giving up the holidays, My artwork always had christmas lights and trees and presents in them...and mom would say, "now Dee, we don't celebrate any more, you can't draw pics like these." Eww, I hated the new religion.....and I knew also that I would change my ways eventually....

My husband tells a story of when he was single, it was new year's eve...he fell in "love" and woke up with a SWAMP-DONKEY.....he tried chewing his arm off before she woke up the next morning....lol....I still tease him about it once in ahwile,.....

I'm so glad I don't torture myself anymore with that nonsense.....call me and give me the gorey details....lol....

after reading "running man's" excellent piece regarding cain and able the thought hit me: why not just hide from jehovah when armeggedon comes around?
he had to ask where able was after cain killed him.

i stopped going to meetings just after my 18th birthday, i was never baptised but i was brought up as a jehovahs witness from birth.
