Accadia quoted from an article from the WT, perhaps you should look at the article in it's entirity as 90% of it has not been quoted, because well that would show their point and no one here is interested in looking for the truth...........

Although I did have both positive and negative responses when I went door to door, I must admit that all in all I think the experience was good for me at the time. It taught me to overcome my fear of people, it taught me to speak my mind, it built my self esteam etc. Lots of good experiences.

An Elder Told Me.... Many To Be Disfellowshipped Soon...
by Doubtfully Yours inan elder told me the book is jehovah's latest provision to cleanse his organization.. he said soon all people that have drifted, inactives, and others baptized and not complying with the biblical mandates for a jw, will be visited and given an option to shape up or ship out.. he said that if the person refuses the help offered by the congregation they'll be notified of the date of disfellowshipping and given time to appeal the decision.. he was so happy stating that this way jehovah's organization was preparing for the final clean-up before armageddon.
he sounded so convincing that it almost made perfect sense what he was saying.
i got goose bumps listening to his reasoning.. dy

Rumors are just that, rumors. I read the new book last night, cover to cover and no where was there mention of anything of the sort happening. In fact it stated just the opposite, that an extension of support was to be offered to the week and inactive ones.

If you can see that he is truly happy when he is with the witnesses, then maybe that is exactly what HE needs at this time in his life. I think no one should be judgemental. YOU are the one that see's him when he is happy, not a bunch of faceless individuals who are only interested in making sure NO one is part of their organization.
Different strokes for different folks. For some people being part of the JW organization is just what they need. I also think that you would have to admit that there really is nothing wrong with their way of life. I know many JW's and they truly do seem to have a sound sence or morals and try their utmost to lead a clean life. Not that ALL of them are that way, but many are.
JMHO (Just my humble opinion)
