What's up.... am I not worthy?
by upside/down ini've lived in my new house for a year and a half... in a nice newer neighborhood, in town.. the dubs have never been to my house and i've never seen them in the neighborhood.
i'm home almost all day every day!.
i've had the mormons here 3 times.

oh no no no! I have moved three times in the past year all three place where in big cities the jw's came to my door once...where i'm living now...i know the congregation that covers this area..and i know that in this area the territory should be covered at least every two weeks or so the jw came to this door only once and they were on this block the other day and didnt do all the houses because we were working in the yard (no one knows i live here) i don't work thus i'm here just about everyday all day. My husband said they never used to come to his door and he lived in a supposed heavily worked area.
Conclusion: all that preaching that they claim that they do i'm starting to believe it aint so true

No longer innocent
by fairchild inwe are now approaching the year 2005, i am again going to all the meetings and most of my friends are jw's.
however, i don't feel that 'love' for god, and i certainly don't feel that he listens when i pray, which i do every day.
after talking about this with an elder, he suggested i study some more, and i am currently studying the book 'worship the true god'.

I actually felt a bigger void inside the org. Even though i don't pray too often now when i do pray i feel like i'm being heard. When i was in the org i never felt i was being heard nor did i feel any closer to God. i decided to just take it slow...i went to church and that didnt feel exactly right but there is a minister i listen to from time to time and i like his sermon he uses the bible and when he doesnt understand something he says that he doesnt understand it or he'll say that he's using his opinion and i can respect that.
The thing that bothers me now is when i look back on my life and i see how ignorant i was. I must have hurt alot of people because i was so indifferent. Thats because as jw's everyone that isnt one is considered to be walking dead. so you don't take the time to get to know people, you turn down friendships and ignore your family. I'm just trying to learn how to feel and love... real love, not that phony crap we learned like, giving someone a track when someone dies. it's sad, I just learned that someone i know that is a jw mother died and they didnt give the woman a furneral because she wasnt a Jw.....be glad that you feel some emptiness, it's better than being full of lies and indifference.

Did U ever wonder - if the end was so close - why were we building Kh's?
by AK - Jeff ini always wondered why we were not spending the money to build halls in remote and poor areas that needed them - but instead we would build new halls and sell old ones in places where we were seeing little growth.. every congregation in this area has built a new hall in the past 20 or so years.
yet the congs are the same basic size they were before.
most have had a least one major remodel since building new.

"Like a giant bedroom"
I am in tears laughing at that...I never thought about it but it's soooo true the assembly hall in my area looks like a big bedroom too!

this is nothing new they have been printing that dumb schedule for some years now.
I know i used to feel really bad when the schedule was printed in the km. You actually feel like this is how my life should be and when you can't keep the schedule you feel like a complete failure. Plus they would always have a demonstration at the KH with an elders family acting out a family study and stating how they where able to keep up. I used to feel like "how do they do it....I thought that jehovah wasnt with my family" then after a while i realized that it was a bunch of lies nobody can keep a schedule like that along with working and going to school and trying to keep a marriage together and your kids happy. Pleeeeze i stopped believing the hype.

Dorthy's ruby slippers had the power the whole time.
by m. kirov inmy baptisim is null and void, due to breech of contract and insider trading.

Very good!
Yeah i was also singing and dancing on that yellow brick road only to find an old man behind the curtain who had also lost his way. The people of oz thought he was a god cause he came crashing down in a big ballon and they had never seen a big ballon before....

ATTENTION-------- ALL JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES!!!
by minimus ini have to say that the longer that i stay away from jehovah's witnesses, the easier it is to see that they are so wrong!
so wrong about how they live their life, so wrong about their fundamental belief system, so wrong about how they treat people---whether they are jws or aren't.
for any of you lurker witnesses here, please get off the fence and recognize you were never "in the truth".

I agree...I had my doubts but more and more everyday i see how evil they really are..and not because of anything said here on this site. The truth about it is this...they talk about how the world hates them when in reality, it is the JW's who hate the world. My ex who still is a JW tries to constantly give me a hard time...He wants to see me suffer, why? because that is what he has been taught...that if you leave you will suffer.
They want you to believe that they are the "light of the world" when in reality they are a flickering candle in the corner of an already bright room.

What were your reasons for not liking the ministry school?
by LongHairGal ini dropped out years ago because i couldn't stand getting together with sisters i didn't like to do a talk.
i hated it with a passion!!
i do realize that you did learn but what i resented was that the sisters were inflicted on each other in a way that i don't think the brothers were.

I thought the school was totally unreal
I remember one time i was a householder and instead of saying "great come back next week" or "yes i would love a bible study" i said "no thanks, I think i'll just stick to what i've been doing" i thought it would be interesting to see a realistic outcome. The elders was like "don't ever do that and how the householder should always accept the information" but i thought that was unrealistic because we get turned down everyday. I didnt get put on the school for a long time after that.
