Freedom *****Here is a fact for some to consider.******
No what you are posting is an ASSERTION. Not a FACT. A fact is a proved claim. One that can be checked, verified, and observed. While I am not refuting what you say please understand the polarity between the two.
****Then you are foolish and ignorent****
I usually never call someone out on misspelling but when you are attacking someone else as being ignorant please spell it right.

by loosie ini didn't want to hi jack this thread.. http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/95312/1.ashx.

Will the anointed remnant survive Armageddon?
by Bonnie_Clyde ini always thought that was what the society teaches.
in fact, haven't there been discussions about how we know the end has to be near because the number of the anointed remnant is decreasing, but there still have to be a few on the earth when armageddon comes to help get the educational work organized in the new world?.
well, i ran across this article today from the 9-1-89 wt pages 20 and 21, paragraphs 12 and 13. i was attending back then.

No the annointed remnant will die out of old age as ALL the remnant before them.

friend of mine with dilemma
by burnthepig ina good friend of mine has a coworker who is a witness.
they have a good working relationship and are somewhat of friends, at least in that arena.
today at work this woman told my friend that she had something important to discuss, that could not be talked about at work.

She should say "I would love to meet you for lunch or stop by your house....however I have a strict rule to never talk about religion nor politics at social gatherings". Watch her reaction.... she'll probably stammer, hymm, haw, etc....
Of course she may still invite her over to convert her since JW's have the truth so discussing religion doesn't apply. Kinda like the "NO SOLICITING" signs. -

"National Companies", a MLM scam?
by Fatfreek ini attended, with my wife, a meeting last night.
the mlm company is called "national companies", and sells two packages, each a two year agreement.
i can't find any internet dialog, pro or con, about this company which is supposed to have started up mid 90's.

Tell you what. Why don't you give me $ 500 and I'll give you a kick in the dick... buy you a beer....and you'll still be further ahead.
All these things are scams. If you want extra money pick up a part time job at a bookstore, or car dealer, or coffee shop. You'll end up further ahead on a $ per hour basis. -

I love Liver! What's your favorite recipe?
by Rod P inyears ago i was driving down the highway one night, listening to a radio talk show host.. he had some time to kill, so he said to the audience, "i know, let's talk about liver!
how many of you out there like liver?
and if you do like liver, do you have a favorite recipe.".

While the below are recipes for using placenta simply replace with liver and voila you have dinner. BLEECH!
Placenta Spaghetti:
Cut meat of 3/4 placenta into bite size pieces, then brown quickly in 1 tbl. butter plus 1 tbl. oil. Then add 1 large can tomato puree, 2 cans crushed pear tomatoes, 1 onion, 2 cloves of garlic, 1 tbl. molasses, 1 bay leaf, 1 tbl. rosemary, 1 tsp. ea. of salt, honey, oregano, basil, and fennel. Simmer 1 1/2 hours.
Placenta Stew:
Meat of 3/4 placenta in bite size chunks, 1 potato (cubed), 1/4 cup fresh parsley, 2 carrots, 3 ribs celery, 1 zucchini, 1 large tomato, 1 small onion. Dredge meat in 1 tbl. flour mixed with 1 tsp. salt, 1/2 tsp. paprika, pinch of cloves, pinch of pepper, 6-8 crushed coriander seeds. Saute meat in 2 tbl. oil, then add vegetables (cut up) and 4-5 cups of water. Bring to full boil, then simmer for 1 hour.
Placenta Pizza:
Grind placenta. Saute in 2 tbl. olive oil with 4 garlic cloves, then add 1/4 tsp. fennel, 1/4 tsp. pepper, 1/4 tsp. paprika, 1/4 tsp. salt, 1/2 tsp. oregano, 1/4 tsp. thyme, and 1/4 cup of wine. Allow to stand for 30 minutes, then use with your favorite home made pizza recipe. It's a fine placenta sausage topping.

Jehovah's Witnesses as "a people......"
by ScoobySnax inwho out of all you nasty old apostates (tm) will agree with me, that if you take the gb that you dislike so much, and the watchtower that you hate out of the picture, will agree with me that at the end of the day, and on the whole, jw's really are a good bunch of people.
i did my same old rekky last sunday at the gillingham convention, and will have a good look around next sunday at twickenham convention.
i've been in lots of crowds, at stadiums and arenas, but an assembly is something else, it is somehow unique, its somehow different from any other crowds, there is a deep sense of "togetherness" i've not see any where else.

Scooby...I hope I didn't offend you I'm just rather passionate about my responses on this topic.
It's not a "conspiracy theory" as you claim. The Dubs set themselves ABOVE everyone else saying how much love they show and no other group shows as much love, blah, blah, blah. So when you set yourself above everyone else perhaps you get judged more in-depth. -

Scooby! There isn't REAL love amongst them. If they had REAL love would they wouldn't shun you for whom you love. They would LOVE you STILL!!! You are struggling for UNCONDITIONAL love....YOU AREN'T GOING TO GET IT.
My parents struggle against knowing their son is gay with the dogma the JW's preach. This same evil, wicked son that just so happens to buy them computers, cars, and plane tickets. NO ONE in the KH helps them out at all. Yet I will never have true UNCONDITIONAL love from them until they escape the myth.
It's a thin veneer of pleasantness that they are showing! They have a commonality amongst themselves...that is all. Go to a conference of local businessmen, doctors, or buddhists....you will find the same pleasantness with them.
I'm not trying to beat up on you Scooby just trying to shake your theory a bit. You are hoping to see something that isn't there. Perhaps you haven't fully shakin off all the vestiages of the JW dogma? -

Double Standard?
by Bendrr injwd is the premier ex-jw site without a doubt.
simon, you've done one hell of a job in creating and maintaining a meeting and learning place for current, exiting, and long-gone dubs.
for that i salute you.. we can come here and speak our minds about the wts.

You are throwing Islam into government endorsed actions. Because the UNITED STATES, BRITIAN, and other western countries supported, endorsed, and encouraged the middle east's governments SUPPRESSION of human rights MILITANT ISLAM flourished. While the government was running roughshod over their people, those shahs, emirs, and kings were looking the other way at the militant religious groups that were blaming the west for their problems. These despotic govt. like Saudi and Syria and Egypt (all of which were highly supported by conservatives US presidents) were more than happy to have the looking glass of these groups focused on the USA. The USA took the stance of "As long as the oil is flowing we won't mettle".
NONE of the 9/11 bombers were American citizens. The recent London bombers were not first generation Muslims! No those bomber's parents came to the west and opened grocery stores, fish and chip shops, and Muslim book stores. "Like all ideologies, radical Islam is a phenomenon of the educated class. From Muhammad Atta to Mohammed Sidique Khan, almost all suicide bombers have been men who read and write. Extremist ideology is a leisure-time pursuit. Forty years ago they would have embraced Leninist revolutionary dogma, with Che Guevara as the bin Laden of his day. Today, for Muslims, it is a violent interpretation of Islamic fundamentalism." - Fareed Zacharis
You seem to dismiss progressive, liberal Islamic nations such as Indonesia and Turkey (a NATO member). You see, the Muslims in these countries have the ability to demonstrate, vote, scream, yell, holler and all the other things associated with democracy. They aren't so repressed that the only outlet for their rage is radical fundamentalist Islam. So your arugement about them hating us isn't really true at all. They are angry. They are in a pressure cooker whereby they do not have the ability to get angry at their government since they will be brutalized. Educated Muslims angry for being repressed in these middle eastern countries.
How about those London slackers that bombed the trains? Fanaticism.
While it would be easier to simply group all those horrible Muslims into one group the truth is much more complex than that Bendrr. You said " Far as I'm concerned the hatred over religion starts with them, not me or you." Well you are wrong...you are just as guilty for bigotry as they are against the west. Just calling it as I see it.
Resepctfully,

IM from a dub who is disgusted at my presence on this board
by stillajwexelder ini have read your posts and am suprised, shocked and disgusted at the fact you still are an active witness who goes to the meetings 70% of the time and at the same time go to apostefests and curse and talk bad about the truth.
dont you know that the bible said people like you would quietly slip in the congregation and subvert the faith of some?
are you not afraid of god and jesus?

Defd....you avoided my question. How do you reconcile coming here to JWD, posting & reading, yet maintain it's the truth and go to meetings?
This is not an attack, nor a judgement....I'm sincerely curious.
Respectfully,
