Several years ago, in my congregation in California I remembered two similiar events. One was an elder who attended his baptized son's wedding with a unbaptized girl. He was removed removed from his elder position. Another incident is a ministerial servant, and he was also removed from his ministerial servant position. These just highlights the extreme hypocricy in the organization. Why can the society join DPI as an NGO and no disciplinary action was ever taken, and smaller matters such as attending a non JW wedding would get the brothers in to more trouble.... It is unimaginable!!!!

My father will lose his privileges if he attends my sister's wedding
by Goldminer inmy sister is planning on getting married within the next few months.her jw husband committed adultery and left her when their son was 7 weeks old.after getting a scriptural divorce she began a friendship with a "worldly" man and now this friendship has grown to a soon-to-be marriage.
this man studied with the jw's for a while but could see right through them found too many of their teachings didn't make sense so he stopped studying.he's made his stand with my sister and told her she can still attend meetings if she wants to.he's also a good worker and seems to really love the kids.he's not perfect but no worse than many jw husbands.
anyways, the elders pulled my dad aside on tuesday night and told him he could(could????!@#*?

I'm going to Bethel... Wanna Come?
by RichieRich inso my mother suprised me about a week ago by telling me we are going on a bus trip to bethel from april 13-17. for those of you who aren't used to this concept, american dubs seem to think that packing themselves on the bus with 60 other witnesses and driving for 4 days is somehow going to strengthen themselves spiritually.
well, i doubt that will work for me.
i was just wondering, is there anything i should look for/ be on the alert for?

A comment I heard tonight
by Generic Man intonight i heard one of the most cruel and twisted comments i've ever heard at the platform.
the topic was the apocalypse and whether or not children will be slaughtered.
through one side of his mouth, the po stated that the bible is not clear on the matter, while out the other side he pointed to all those old testament accounts where children were killed.

Some speakers,I wouldn't say alot, are egotistical when they are up at the stage. One incident was a speaker who was making fun of a brother who has a nervous problem with symptom of shaking. Well, the speaker made fun of him on the stage by acting out his problem. The book study conductor also did the same thing.. It is sad to see that others giggled...

In my congregation i noticed more than half of the couples (elders) are not happily married... one indication is by the husband always walkin ahead of the wife. Another is they wouldnt sit together at the KH.... there's always a seat in between... thats cold... A newly baptized sister got devoreced after she got baptized. I think her reason is so she can collect welfare..

I attend one of the congregations in hawaii... and i strongly agree with you regarding hypocrisy.. the description for my congregation is hypocrisy... pervertedness... and retaliation...that goes for the elders and ministerial servants

Does anyone Love Jehovah anymore?
by defd in.
i know people have left for people issues but what about jehovah god and jesus?
what have they done?.
-

I still love Jehovah because he has answered my prayer several times. Even though I have lost faith in the Watchtower, I still will try my best to obey the rules in the bible. I just wont read or ditribute publications thats been written and printed by bunch of liars and false prophets ( WTBTS lies regarding UN scandal and made alot of predictions that never came true). Can you imagine i been baptized for over 20 years and there was alot of pain and emotional stress with the organization during these times.

Did you ever see a TRULY happy JW?

so during all this time did you ever see happy person or a family or were you ever truly happy there, even for a brief period of time?

By the way, i see happi jws but its few. most of them seem to put on a happi face, but behind the mask, I know they are stressed out by the doctrines of the organization
