a hundred years ago or so, when women did not all look the same and screech like ancient hinges, and strip malls were just a nightmare in a squirrels mind, i wrote a jazz column for a newspaper.
it did not last long as i was eaten up by the wt and became a regular pioneer with an irregular notion and a pile of scruffy s8's.. .
i well remember one issue in which i took great exception to a comment made by duke ellington which seemed to me to be far to general and subjective to make much sense.

~Hill Ewwwwww! Do people actually listen to Slim Whitman? No offense. I enjoy all kinds of music. I usually judge musicians by not only the quality of the music but also the quality of the lyrics. What I really despise is crap like Britney Spears, people who have no talent but are just trained little robots.
Will I ever be in the top numbers? Probably not, because I only have a few hours a week to post.

Good job! I used to cut my 2 younger ones' hair--taught myself watching the barber cut my son's hair. Since I was a single mom with 3 kids, I couldn't afford to pay for his hair cuts as fast as his hair grew. I didn't do too bad of a job, but he was in tears the first time I cut his hair--I admit the first couple haircuts were awful but they got better. I still trim my 12 year old daughter's hair because it's long and straight and easy to cut.
Oh well it saves a buck or two!

According to some of you posters, I must be "Hot" then. I have tried being just friends with several men over the years and they were pretty much driven by their lower appendages--even after repeated conversations about just being 'friends'.

when my mother first became a jw, i was very sporatic with meeting attendance.
Makes my blood boil to hear how some of you were treated as kids. My parents weren't Jdubs but they totally neglected me and my siblings and never said or did anything nice for me as a kid except on holidays.
My way of getting back at my dysfunctional childhood is that I love my 3 kids more than anything in this world and I try to show it by the kind of mother I am.
Sometimes I wish I could go back in time and do something nice for each of you when you were little, like beat up your parents for being so self-centered.
