Sirnose586--I want to add to your comment that there were no witnesses to the crime, since no Jehovah's Witnesses were killed--oh maybe that's why they didn't disfellowship him. It was only 4 evil worldly people that he killed, and they'll be back in the resurrection anyway right?

I'm being sarcastic, I am shocked at the light sentence after killing 4 people. I can imagine how the family members of the deceased must have felt at his sentencing.

LOL AuldSoul--what have you been smoking? You really are cracking me up. Thanks for putting a smile on my face this morning.

I get REALLY annoyed with a girl I work with, why? Because anytime I call her on the carpet about anything, she comes up with some stupid defensive story, in the meantime--she spends all her time gossiping about other people and then kissing those people's asses afterward, sickening!!!! She forwards her phones to me all the time without letting me know, but is never available when I need a break from my phone or comes up with some stupid excuse as to why she can't help cover the phones. Sorry but this girl is pissing me off so bad that some days I want to strangle her! I am afraid to be up front and tell her off because she is such a stupid gossipmonger.

One of my kitties is about 4 months old and he likes to sit on my face at night--I don't mind him curling up on my head but when I wake up to his butt in my face it really grosses me out. I forgive him though, because he is such a character!

Yeah when I was reinstated, a lot of the JWs treated me differently than before I was disfellowshipped. I was 'marked' forever I guess.

We had one family of pioneers whose children all lived at home until they were forty-something, except the oldest son who went to Bethel, none of them dated or married except I think the 2 sons did when they were almost 50. Anyway, the mom went ballistic when the sons got married and I think 1 son had a baby OMG which made it even worse. Anyway, they were the most sickening holier-than-thou JWs I knew. It was very weird how they were so against marriage & having babies in this 'system of things', yet they were the first ones to volunteer & bring food to weddings & baby showers, they were a very strange family.

this mornings events have got me thinking about things.

i love peanut butter, not the sweet kind but i like the old fashioned peanut butter, usually laura scudder's with no sugar or preservatives - it just tastes better imo.

i put it on everything including pancakes which are really good with peanut butter and maple syrup.

i learned that i truly was in a cult.

i originally hated that thought.

I agree with what everyone has said so far, and could add a million more.

I have learned not to wallow in feelings of guilt constantly.

I have learned & decided that I don't want to walk on eggshells around my JW sister anymore by denying my own belief system.

I have learned about a lot of horrible behavior that is tolerated and even encouraged among the JWs such as molestation & child abuse.

I have learned (by reading Crisis of Conscience) that the Governing Body is a bunch of old farts who ruin people's lives with their stupid decisions.

And I've learned good news that not only are the JW's not having the "great increase" they always bragged about, but that people seem to be leaving in large numbers.

Oh, and let's not forget--that the teachings regarding the US & Russia being the king of the north & king of the south has been forgotten; that was a really big deal when I was a teenager.
