  Anyone every been cut out of family pictures?

  i've been thinking about something lately that bothers me.

  i mean it happened years ago, but it just seems really sick.

  when i was disfellowshipped, my sister took all of her pictures that had me in it, cut me out and saved the rest of the pictures.

When I was disfellowshipped, my sister took all of her pictures that had me in it, cut me out and saved the rest of the pictures. When I saw her photo album one time by accident when she was still speaking to me, she made some excuse & put it away. It really creeped me out seeing all those cut pictures, like something a really mentally ill whacked out person would do.

  Also I remember, I was in my best friend JW's wedding party, and apparently some people were pressuring her to either do the same or not have her wedding pictures on display in her house.

  Doesn't that sound pretty sick to you?

  Just got a call from an elder

  so i faded over a year ago...i told the elders that if i needed them i would call them.

  1 year and 3 months later, today, i get a call from an elder who used to be my good friend...he calls and i dont pick up..he leaves a voicemail, saying "hello ____, please call me back at 444-444-4444 whenever you can".

  i was like wow, this has to be one of those calls to get inactive ones back to the memorial.

  For those who still attend- When was the last time you had a Congregation Picnic or Get together?

  it seems that in my neck of the woods there is no social interaction between jws outisde of fs and the kh.

  the last get together was 3 summers ago.

  other than that there is no bond.

  Talked to JW's in Service Today (kinda long...sorry)

  i was in my company vehicle and i spotted some jw's going from door to door.. i circled around the block and pulled over.

  when they passed, i rolled down the .

  window and asked the pleasant looking middle aged couple as they passed, if they were jehovah's .

  i'm a still in jw but i've been mentally out for about two months.

  i'm an ms and i'm also gay so i have two lots of 'coming out' to do very soon!.

  Combatting Agoraphobia in NONJWland

  my daughter starts school soon.

  and i cant help but be afraid of the big bad world....the freedom we have is scary and im irrationally afraid of my kids getting in with the wrong crowd....in jwland it wasnt so bad becaus you felt safe.

  so now i know that safe haven is actually bs how do i get it out of my head?

  It takes time to overcome that mindset. Being very involved in your kids and watching over them is smart, because it is a scary world. It's the same world whether or not a person is a JW, think of it that way.

  ...What do you Do,when People Ask You for Spare Change?...

  .. .........................some people are truly in need..some are not... a man passing by on his 10 speed bike,asked me for $2.00 for a cup of coffee... .................................................."uhhh,no"... ............another asked me for spare change outside a super market... ......................................i said i didn`t have any... ...................so he say`s "how about a credit card?!"......lol!!...

  .. ....................what do you do,when people ask you for spare change?...

  Our city is increasing more & more every year with beggars & homeless people, they are EVERYWHERE! But I do have a heart for the ones who are extremely dirty & mentally ill. My husband and I often will give out a bottle of water or packaged snacks to people begging on corners if they look like they are really down & out. Our homeless mentally ill population is huge and so sad.

  I don't normally ever give out cash, but I did give $10 once to an older man with no legs who wasn't even begging or asking for anything. I saw him all the time taking the bus, and I just wanted to make someone's day-- he was overjoyed with that $10 so I decided I didn't care if he bought liquor with it because it made me feel good.
