i really blew it yesterday.
we had just gotten home from a very long day and we were contemplating what to do for dinner and then a knock at the door.
the sister was back with an elder and he asked to speak to my husband...completely got his name wrong.
Oh my goodness hee hee hee, I had to wipe a tear from my face I was laughing so hard when I read your post. Since I'm at work, I had to hold some of it in lest my boss should hear me busting a gut. Wow I wish I could have been watching this event, it is just toooooo much!
I love it when people go postal on the JW's. Hmmmm I am wondering what can I do if they ever knock on my door?

I guess I'm a Fader too since 1991 or so. Sometimes I'm tempted to go to a meeting just to see how I feel hearing all the BS after learning the real truths, but then I'm afraid I'll run into someone I know or that the elders will start questioning me.

I understand the dilema you are in. I have a JW sister who has no idea that I have doing research the last few months, learning about the real truth behind the WBTS. I know eventually I want to say something to her, but I don't really want to be shunned again. Personally I have decided to keep quiet for now, but not sure what the future will bring. She is not an emotionally stable person, so I'm afraid that if she learns about what's really going on, she will have some kind of breakdown.

here i go, a friend and i was working together we had left his 16 year old daughter to baby set my 4 year old daughter.
That is very terrible and am so sorry you had to go through that. I am glad the person was caught but still is a bad situation. I had no idea all this crap was going on in the JW congregations until the last few months when I have been involved in this forum. The WBTS is an evil religion and I am doing my best to inform people who do not know anything about the JWs.

i've seen how some are so burdened by the fact that they were witnesses, that literally, every day is a struggle.
are you in need of therapeutic help because you are or were a jehovah's witness?
I've been struggling with it since I was a young child--but didn't know it back then. The JW thing just made it worse, I felt constantly under a black cloud that any minute God's judgement was coming and I may or may not be good enough for Jehovah. I have a lot of mental illness that runs in my family, unfortunately, so I was already predisposed. I try to take really good care of myself, and when I feel overwhelmed--I avoid situations that make me feel depressed, like visiting my dad who is a very negative person and still lives in the yucky house I grew up in with a mentally ill mother.
I am on Prozac which has greatly relieved my constant feelings of having a nervous breakdown or panicky feeling that something bad was happening to me. And I try to take walks every day and enjoy nature, and eat healthy. But I am addicted to sugar and I struggle with that daily; it makes me feel worse when I OD on sugar and chocolate.
Being a mother, I constantly worry about my kids' emotional/mental well-being. My 18 year old daughter became more and more withdrawn last year but now she's on Prozac and feels so much better and in control of her life. My son spent 2 years on Prozac when he was 8 years old--he was talking about dying and running away; he is doing really well nowadays without any meds. I am very thankful we have modern medicine and medication that helps mental & emotional illness.

Yes I am ashamed to say that the Californians' tax dollars are paying my paycheck while I play on the Internet all day Monday through Friday. It's not my fault--I have told everyone that I need more work including my boss and no one is listening. Oh well, so I view this as my research for my future endeavors, which include anti-Witnessing.
thought i would share some notes i took from a talk the co gave at the hall i attended today for the last time.
the talk was entitled ?act wisely in a senseless world.. .
the gist of the talk was that we are being conned by everyone in this system of things.. no mention of anyone in the organization doing this.. ?are we willing victims??.
Sometimes I feel like I want to puke the more I hear about the WBTS. They are so full of BS!!! It makes me mad the way they whitewash their evilness.
i touch on this subject in another post but i felt the need to take it further...back in the day jw's went out in fs but i don't know about today.... i live in a big city....the territory my congregation has is small because there are so many cong.
here.. our bookstudy only had maybe four blocks at the most to work.
my ex husband and i would go to the meetings and hear talk about fs and all the wonderful and experiences and the joy oh joy in being out in the ministry.
Wow--I never cheated on my monthly report but always wondered how everyone else counted so much more time than me. Boy was I dumb!
