  Suggestions for finally talking to my parents about my doubts?

  i was raised a believing witness.

  i had a normal life and very loving parents who would do anything for me and my brother(who is 21).

  hi, long time no see.

  i am finally out of the borg.

  had a talk with an elder-friend-family member today who said i should just do it if that's what i want to do, and my wife says if that's what i want to do that she's fine with it.

  I agree with jamiebowers-- you need to hire a lawyer and protect your parental rights. The courts do not look favorably on people who withhold their child from the other parent, and you may even have a case to get custody. I wish you all the luck, it's very painful when BS involves children--especially JW BS.

  Snubbed for the first time!

  since being disfellowshipped on thursday, i have already come into contact with some jw's.

  some experiences have been heartwarming!!!

  I think the last time I was snubbed I was at Trader Joes and I saw my JW best friend's mother pushing a shopping cart. Of course she pretended not to see me. Then last weekend my JW sister was supposed to show up at my Dads house who only has a few months to live, and because she knew I was coming-- she didn't show up even though my Dad requested all his kids to be there to visit (Dad's not a JW or anyone else in the family)

  It's kind of funny-- I found out that my 93 year old dad yells at my sister every time he sees her because she won't speak to me and it upsets him.

  your great-aunt brittney died tuesday morning she was found on her kitchen floor dead.

  her funeral was this morning.

  omg .. my mother just sent me this email.

  Very sorry on the loss of your aunt, it sounds like your mom is trying to punish you for leaving the JWs.

  Maybe you could visit her gravesite with flowers and have some closure on your own.

  Parents of Teens--I need encouragement

  i am really feeling down today, can't stop crying.

  i just need some words of encouragement from other parents that i will survive my kids' teen years.

  my 13 year old is trying to discover/find herself, has emotional issues--since birth, cuts/burns herself secretly--she is on prozac, in regular counseling, spent time last year in a physchiatric hospital, and just generally always has stomach aches or conflicts with other peers and is flunking math as usual as well as getting bad grades in citizenship lately.. my 17 year old son is on probation for being in a fight last fall, and does illegal stuff for cash.

  Who hates smoking and pets?

  i do not really hate pets but i am allergic to them.

  I hate smoking but I like the smell of a pipe. And strangely enough, once in a while when I walk by someone smoking--sometimes I like the smell but I don't know why. No one in my house has ever smoked and I'm allergic to smoke. I abhor the smell of pot, I think because it has bad memories associated with it.

  I love any kind of pet, but then I tend to be a nature-lover. I always thought it was weird when some families don't even have a goldfish for their kids.

  PEEPS--groooooosssss, how can you people eat those disgusting marshmellow thingies???

  I will be cooking brunch for my kids & elderly parents. My kids have outgrown the egg hunt, but I still make goodie baskets for everyone.
