  an athiest argument for an uncaring or non-existent god is suffering, say, as in starving children.

  i consider this a strawman argument but there you go.. the apologists defence is that humankind has been given all the tools for health and prosperity, and has failed in their duty.

  the resultant victims will receive their reward in the afterlife.

  Watchtower Library NOT identical to printed publications

  i realise the title of this thread will come as no surprise to many of you.

  i've certainly heard before of subtle variations between extracts from the watchtower library and the actual printed literature.. what i didn't expect was to find this openly admitted to in the license agreement for the watchtower library, where it says in article 4:.

  4. limited warranty.

  One obvious difference (which has always been disappointing to me) was the lack of accompanying illustrations to the articles. This line covers their legal liability, if their is any, or this aspect of the CD, I suppose.

  Of course, I can buy a lot of archival discs of other publications that are in .pdf format, fully searchable, copy and pastable. But the WTBS never does things the logical way. And why still on CD? DVD hold many times more, they could get the entire print run, Rutherford's Rainbow, Russell's works, and, oh, uh, never mind....

  his talk was about education.

  Video stores in Australia are closing down....anyone know why?

  two video stores in my town closed down, but at least i have my blockbuster video store!

  $30 a month and i can get 2 movie at a time all month.

  yesterday i returned my movies and found they had closed, and a downsized civic dvd store has taken over at $6 per new movie!!!.

  Amazon Prime. 80.00 a year. All the movies that and series that were on Netflix have moved to Amazon. And their rentals for one day are quite reasonable.
