In a previous post, Journey-on layed out the whole week's schedule for JWs. I really appreciated that because I'd always been curious about how many meetings, etc. per week. (I'm trying to find out all that our son is required to do in this cult as he's being brainwashed)
Wow, it seems only Friday is their "day of rest"!
Anyway, WHO does the public talk? The Elders? Can anyone get up and do a Public Talk? What do they talk about?

What percentage of witnesses do you think have viewed apostate web sites?
by Paralipomenon inhumans are naturally curious creatures.
we learn from experience better than words.
so with the internet in almost every witness home, and the society constantly harping on people to avoid it, how many do you think have at least checked it out?

My husband and I were just talking about this this morning. You would think the JWs would harbor SOME curiosity about what's being said on the internet. If there was some negative talk about MY church, I'd want to read it just to see what they're saying.
I guess there'd really be no way to determine a percentage, because people can access the net with complete secrecy.

Putting together info on proof of 607 vs. 586......
by lavendar inthe wts has erroneously set the fall of jerusalem in the year 607. i'm trying to put together information, for our son, proving that this date is false.
i've decided when our son brings up the subject of his involvement in the wts, i will then show him this information.
i feel this particular subject is the wisest to go with.

Thank you, GGG! I'll have to digest all that when I have the time this evening.
My question is: how can they argue with a World Encyclopedia?? For instance, I know the Columbia Encyclopedia emphatically states the Fall of Jerusalem in the year 586. How do they answer that away????

I feel this particular subject is the wisest to go with. I won't be arguing doctrine, as I realize this is a waste of time & energy (especially if you don't enjoy beating your head against a brick wall). I won't be arguing about all the MANY flip-flops and wierd beliefs (for the same reason).
What could our son possibly say when I show him this proof?? Surely, the WTS knows of their error. What are they teaching the Witnesses as an "answer" to this proof??

by Anti-Christ injust wanted to share something with you all.
about a month ago i call my very active jw father and ask him a few questions about an awake article (the famous one oct 8 1968) and about the "obedience and submission" article and to call me back and give me some information.. well he did not call back and friday my sister in law calls me and tells me that some jw are saying i am an apostate.
i ask were did they get that from ( because i have not talk to any jw about my findings, except my dad) and to my surprise she said my dad.

Now he starts to say that the "apostates" have nothing but hatred to offer and that JW have only love to offer
Is this the "JW love" he's offering??......to strike out at you and shun you forever?? Unbelieveable.
