i have spent numerous hours trying to outwit the squirrels.

i thought i had them licked with my own invention.

i had a 10 foot 1 inch metal pole that i greased with silicone, that i placed between a tree branch and a 6 foot fence.

Restrangled -- I'll have to look for that one too. It's nice to be able to attract ALL varieties of birds. I just LOVE them!!

PS: that would be so awesome if your Doobie-Doo found his way back home to you.

I'm gonna put black oil sunflower seeds in mine. I found a great source for the seed! FIFTY pounds for $17.99! As compared to WallyWorld that has TEN pound bags for $30.00!!

Hi!

I LOVE feeding the birds and watching them! We have Indigo Buntings, Tufted Titmouse, Cardinals, Nuthatches, Blue Jays, Woodpeckers, Goldfinches, chickadees, Grosbeeks....and I saw our FIRST Baltimore Oriole the other day, too!

I have a terrible problem with those pesky squirrels as well! They can clean out the feeders in a matter of hours! So, like you....I ordered a Yankee Flipper several days ago; and it should be here any day. I can't WAIT to put it up and watch the squirrels go flyin'!!!!

There is also a squirrel repellent product on the market that I'd like to try, as well. I saw it in a catalog called Home Trends.

when you were (or those who still are) a jw.....do/did you secretly enjoy receiving birthday cards from non-jw relatives?.

my family member became a jw several years ago, but i've always sent him a birthday card.

he's never said anything derogatory about them.. .

JWs are discouraged from seeking psychological help from psychiatrists, psycho-therapists, and psychologists because they give "worldly" advice according to the WTBTS.

Become a Jehovah's Witness and you have to....

Must be baptized into the organization

Attend several regular meetings each week

Go out in field service regularly to recruit new members

Report your field service activity to the congregation each month

Attend regular scheduled conventions

Give talks at the congregation (whether young or old, male or female)

Read and fully understand their teachings

Prepare for each meeting

Participate in the meetings

Study with family

Use Theocratic Warfare (War Strategy) - To lie or to hide the truth to a non-JW for protection of the Organization

Fully accept the Watchtower's authority and rules (no exceptions)

Dress according to their rules at the Kingdom Halls, Service and conventions (no exceptions)

Women and small girls must wear dresses
Men must wear dress pants with dress shirts and ties

Associate only with fellow members

Report on fellow members including your family, if they are caught doing something against Society's rules

You have to sing at the meetings (even if you have a bad voice) - or you are looked down upon

Women must be in full submission to their husbands

How would you respond to a Witness calling worldly people "wicked?"

this morning in the field ministry a brother in our car group was talking about wicked people.

i asked him what he thinks of when he says "wicked people.

" (i am working undercover) he said, "those that don't worship jehovah.".

Ask him how he's going to feel when he has to help build houses & raise food for all the billions of "wicked" people that'll be resurrected onto the New Earth after Armegeddon? (heh heh)

my wife had a few women over last night for a get together, and she told me that one of them has a sister that is getting "rv's" (return viisits) from a j.w.

so this lady told me that her sister talked to the j.w.

for two hours, the last time she came to her house.
