Last skating party I went to when I was active was during the mid 80s (around 85). After that I dont think they had anymore in the area of Arkansas where I lived.

we used to have awesome skating parties and witnesses from 150 miles away would come sometimes.

How many here used to attend meetings un prepared?
by JH inon sundays, i hardly ever read my watchtower.
i would take 2 minutes to underline here and there just to look good.
if i wanted to make a comment at the watchtower study , i'd read 1 or 2 paragraphs and answer the question related to those paragraphs, that's it.

On Sundays sometimes I have since I did not like getting up early to get ready; I can't tell you how many times I would get to the meeting without a watchtower for the watchtower study or a songbook.

No, you can be guilty of gluttony, greed and materialism and still be in good standing in the congregation. In fact, you would think it is a prerequisite to be a pillar of the congregation from what all I have seen while in the org.

i personally know of two cases where the witness being disfellowshipped was asked to provide excruciating details about the exact nature of the "sex crime" that they had committed.. having read the secret elders manual "pay attention to yourselves and all the flock" i know this is standard operating procedure for a judicial hearing.

I was never taken to a JC but could have been. I met when 2 elders after being inactive for a while and told them some of the things I did while inactive since I lived in a small town and I would rather them hear it from me first rather than through the gossip grapevine. They asked me if I committed fornication and I told them I have; they wanted to know if alcohol was also involved and was I smoking and stuff but they didn't go into any further questions. They decided not to get a JC together but they had enough on me to do so.
