  I just got one of *those* calls from my son's school

  *sigh* the joys of parenthood.. i just got a call from my son's school.

  he gets picked up by his after school care in a van.

  all the kids who get picked up are lined up outside to get ready for their rides.. my son decides it's a good idea to pick up a stick and throw it, hitting a car and putting a small dent in it.

  I dont think he did it to cause harm to anything or anyone and looking at a 5 year old's mindset it was just a quick action without much thought going into it. Kids are going to do things without thinking that has consequences like that.

  I remember your son at Chris and Nina's this past May; I could tell he was your son because he looks so much like you :) and he was very polite and very well mannered. I wouldn't be too severe. Just hope he doesn't continue to do it; then you may have a problem.

  I have been reading with interest the societies involvement in the UN as NGO. I can say this, Jesus teaches me to "observe the things they command, but not the way they do".

  When Jesus said that, he was referring to the religious leaders during that time. He also referred to them as "offsprings of vipers" and condemned them and if you compare the watchtower society to the religious leaders that Jesus condemned, why on earth would you have any respect whatsoever for them? The Pharisees didn't have God's backing and neither does the watchtower society.

  I was going to comment on you bringing up "where is there to go" but jgnat beat me to it :)

  if you play an instrument, pick the piece that's your favorite to play or you wish you could play.. r.. my favorite is fantasy impromtu by chopin.

  Hambeaks Extremely Heartbreaking News

  our friend hambeak just got the most dreaded phone call from his jw child.

  the news was passed on as he was asked for by name and not as"dad" and let known that "they" just called to let him know that his other son, brian, age 26, is dead.

  he was in a car accident.

  DOES MONEY BUY HAPPINESS?

  i think most of us were probably trained to believe that money can't buy happiness, but is that really true?

  i know i'd be a hell of a lot happier with more money....what about you?

  of course, there are the big examples we all know of---people who had lots of money, fame, but they weren't happy.

  Sorry to hear what you went through purps. I have had all kinds of stuff stolen from me through the years, even by people I knew which makes it so aggravating and the most disturbing this is that if they were caught they only get a slap on a wrist. It really makes me sick.

  Impulsive buyer....What was I thinking?~?

  yesterday, i was in wal-mart, taking care of some business at the service desk, while i was there, i thought......i'll just browse a bit and then get home.. before i knew it i was at the check-out with a hotdog griller...!!!!!!

  you know it looks kinda like the ones at gas stations, movie theatres, ball parks!!

  i barely eat 10 hot dogs a year and thats just when i don't have another choice.. i have never bought anything stupider that i can remember.. forty bucks spent........maybe five bucks back after i keep it five years.......selling it in a gargae sale.. tell us.....do you buy things impulsively and what was your biggest mistake?.

  I was at Target the other day and bought the DVD The Da Vinci Code. While I saw it before the DVD release and thought it was an okay movie, I didn't think it was outstanding and there are not too many movies that I care about watching over and over enough to run out and buy it; so in this case it was impulsive buying. One reason to stay out of the stores Friday after Thanksgiving where the stores are competing against each other buy having huge sales on the electronics.

  my right wrist hurts every time that i use the mouse.

  i've got a towel under my wrist now.

  anybody got any cures for a sore wrist?

  Do you use a wrist rest in front of your keyboard or have a mouse pad that has one built in? I type for a living and have to use a wrist rest being at the keyboard for a long period of time. That may help.
