I wonder why Paul, Moses and other bible writers in "god's organization" earlier didn't have their writings copywrited. Guess that's what the difference between "inspired by god" and "spirit directed".

My cousin, as well as other relatives still in, considers the news report "lies and trash" and will not listen and request that we not send anything like that to their email again. The organization could do not wrong and if it does, it's just the people in it and "wait on Jehovah" is what they will say and continue on. It was my mother who sent the email link to the story. I decided not long ago that I will not discuss JW matters with them unless they bring it up because I dont have time to go round and round with them. They have their mind made up already and there is nothing that I or anybody else can say that will change their mind. Something has to happen to them personally before their eyes will be opened, if at all.

I sent the video link to my mother who saw it and forwarded it to one of my JW relatives (one of my cousins) and my mother got this reply:
"____________, I got this E-mail which I consider trash. I would appreaciate it if you never send anything like this again to me. It's up to what you read or believe but I love jehovah and his orginazition and would never want to be anywhere else."
People will see what they want to see and continue to bury their heads in the sand and deny

Unintentional Copyright Violation
by t33ap80c ini was visiting another forum today and got the impression that someone on it was e-mailing copies of the pdf version of "captives of a concept" without my permission.. when i asked about this matter i immediately received an e-mail from someone who acknowledged that she was the one who had done this numerous times.
she explained that she just never thought about violating any copyright laws.
she apologized and volunteered to reimburse me for all the copies she e-mailed.. i wouldn't be surprised if this may not the only time this has happened.

Whoever is out there thinking about snagging a copy online, it's only $5 downloadable on lulu.com. BTW, thanks Don Cameron for your publication. I downloaded from lulu, printed it out and put in a binder so I could read it better without having to spend so much time reading so much on a monitor at one time. LRG

What Religion Do you Follow Now?

anyway i wanted to ask what religion do you follow now that you are no longer a jw?

Once I left the WTS that was enough for me. I don't and never will follow or support ANY other relgion again. Ever. Oddly enough during the years I was an active JW my parents were apathetic towards religion, now my dad goes with his wife to some church I dont know the demonination of and my mother is getting baptized in the LDS church and asked me to go to her baptism.
The only time I ever go to "church" it is for weddings or a funeral and that's it.

I would love to try some of your brownies! I never tried Jack Daniels and ginger ale together although I love ginger ale. If I lived in Georgia I would drop in and say hi. most disturbing movie scene you've seen?
by knock knock ini haven't seen this topic on here so i thought i'd.... hmmm, maybe it's because it's just too disturbing?
to me, the scene in saving private ryan - the two soldiers in the small upstairs room fighting hand to hand to the death (by stabbing).
i think that is the most disturbing thing i've seen on screen and there were plenty just in that film alone.
