American tax rebate: How will you spend yours? Will it help the economy?

it appears that both political parties and economists are agreeing on the need for a tax rebate.

the white house has a proposal in mind, and the democrats seem to be in line.. so will this help head off a recession?

and will you "do your part" .

Being a working single male with no kids you assume I will even get one? I probably fill up my tank and whatever I have left buy a couple of day's ration of food.

i am jonesing for some white castles!

but, sadly, they are not in this area.

those little burgers with the onions fresh off the grill, oh!!

Love me some Sonic!! Wendys is a close second for a fast food (have you tried their Baconator?! and I also like their mushroom melt burgers when they have them occasionally), however there are other franchises I like as my favorite, like Pizza Hut.

Off Topic Question: Has Anyone haggled with Jiffy Lube over a new engine?

yes that's right....lovely jiffy lube effed up my engine and it is toast.

i'm waiting to hear back from the district manager, whom i'm sure i will have to call myself.

i am anticipating them to fight it, even though a garage has put the blame completely on them.

I haven't haggled with Jiffy Lube over a new engine but a year and a half ago I haggled with Precision Auto Tune for a new motor and I got one after one of their employees left the cap off the oil and burned the motor up. I was without a car for a short period of time but now it is in better condition than it was before I took it there for an oil change. These days, you have to literally stand over people for them to do a job right most of the time.

Glad to have you here!! My mother was baptized as a mormon last month. I live almost 2 hours from her and don't see her that much but stay in contact by phone and internet since I work a lot.

After my experiences with the borg Im religioned out. Once you see through one you see through them all. However, I couldn't get over the gullibility of my mother and now my sister is even being taken in by the mormon teachings.

i am starting this thread since low-key lysmith and momzcrazy were very surprised they are here on jwd on my thread about what congregations they have attended in their lifetime, so who knows we might be surprised for more online reunions.

I dont mind telling people here my name but not openly, just in a PM after we get to know each other for a while in a discussion or if meeting at an apostafest. I have met a lot of people from JWD in person and what is funny is that even in person I call them by their name here on JWD.
