This weeks #2 & #3 talk on homosexuality
by granada35 inafter a one year sucessful fade and no longer associated with any congreation, i was visiting my sister this week (who goes to the meeting to please her husband for now; i am slowly planting seeds though) and they decided to year this weeks midweek meeting via the telephone.
since i was a guest in her house, i sat with them in the living room to hear the meeting.
to my surprise (especially growing up as a gay jw with still alot of anger in my heart over how i was treated), the talks 2 and 3 where on, of course, homosexualiy.

Truthexplorer:
Give me a scripture quoting Jesus' words on homosexuality. I'll wait for your answer. Not Paul's word on homosexuality, but the words of Jesus.
You said: "I know one brother who has managed to control such feelings in this life and is an upstanding christian. God and Jesus dont change their views on morality because society decides to change it."
If your friend has these feelings, that is the definition of homosexuality. It is a condition, not an act, and it is the condition, the label of homosexuality itself that JWs judge people on. If anybody is labeled as gay in the JW organization they can and will be ostracized and carry a stigma as many ex-JWs will tell you.

I don't see how JW parents of gay kids can sit in a KH and listen to that hate speech and then say they love their children; looks like they love their religion more by their actions. Like MLK said, "In the end we will not remember the words of our enemies but the silence of our friends". [or in this case family]

Yellow Journalism anyone?
The facts of the case - and normal legal procedure -- don't support right-wing claims of religious persecution:
The Subpoenas Are In Response To A Lawsuit Filed By HERO's Opponents. The subpoenas are part of the discovery phase of a lawsuit filed by HERO's opponents after they unsuccessfully tried to gather signatures to repeal the ordinance. The lawsuit claims that the City Attorney "wrongly determined that they had not gathered enough valid signatures" to qualify for a vote to repeal HERO. As one conservative commentator noted: "This is basic court procedure. But the headlines make it sound like a surprise attack by leftists advancing their agenda on unsuspecting Christians."

Apple Cider Vinegar
by poppers ini've been drinking 1 tbs with a glass of water twice daily for digestion for about 3 weeks now.
i've found it helps, but it also acts as an appetite suppressant; i've lost several pounds since using it.
i'm consuming fewer calories because i'm just not as hungry as before.

I got a bottle of raw apple cider vinegar at Wal Mart not too long ago, a 32 oz bottle is $4.24 here, however the pasturized clear bottle of apple cider vinegar is about $1.50.

Im sure somewhere some preachers are screaming at their congregation that the ebola virus breakout is the result of God's wrath for some of the states allowing gay marriage.

let the Supreme being who allowed this to exist pass judgement.
You just passed judgement on homosexuals by calling them immoral people.

Watchtower Jan 15 1912 (reprints p.4963)
It is known that only about three out of every one hundred operated upon for appendicitis really have a diseased appendix needing removal. We give below a simple cure for appendicitis symptoms. The pain in the appendix region is caused by the biting of worms near the junction of the transverse colon with the small intestines, low down on the right side of the abdomen. This remedy is recommended also for typhoid fever, which is also a worm disease. The medicine is Santonine dose, 3 grains, an hour before breakfast; repeated for four mornings, or until all the symptoms disappear. Then one dose per month for three months to eradicate all germs. This recipe is of INCALCULABLE VALUE. Not only will it save the surgeon's and hospital fees of perhaps $200, but it saves weeks of ill health, inconvenience, convalescence and loss of salary.

A catholic court ordered to attend jehovah's witnesses kingdomhall???
by EndofMysteries ini just saw this news piece, http://www.onenewsnow.com/legal-courts/2014/08/25/catholic-workers-ordered-to-attend-jehovah%e2%80%99s-witness-services#.u_uee_ldv8e.
the ninth u.s. circuit court of appeals has issued a ruling that workers at a home for the disabled must attend a jehovahs witness worship service with patients who wish to attend.. in 2009, california instructed san gabriel/pomona regional center to have staff escort a jehovah's witness patient to services, but two catholic employees objected and sued on the grounds that their faith requires they only attend catholic services.. brad dacus, founder of pacific justice institute, says it's an interesting case.. we have the rights of employees under title 7, which requires reasonable accommodation for the sincerely held religious beliefs of employees, he says.
in this case, arguably that would mean not requiring these particular employees to have to sit in and attend a jehovahs witness church service.. the attorney says employers should do everything they can to meet employees faith needs, but also cannot forget the needs of the disabled in this situation.

You mean the disabled or elderly could not get one of their spiritual brothers or sisters to offer them a ride or transportion to the meeting instead having to depend on somebody worldly to take them to the kingdumb hall? Says a lot about JWs in general these days.
