quite randomly as i was working away at my desk i remembered an illustration from the bible teach book in which satan claimed he knew better than jehovah about ruling mankind.

More to your point like Live Forever book mentioned on why has God permitted wickedness and God "universal sovereignty" being challenged it mentioned that God has allowed mankind all these years to rule himself without God being involved to settle the issue. However that is a lie because he stepped in during Noah's time regarding the flood, during Nimrod's time during the tower of Babel and during Lot's time during the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah to name a few examples.

can any one recommend any good books to read that have come out in the last few years?
i haven't read a good book in a long time and i'd like to get into reading again.
i'm not into autobiographies or sports books.
Just about anything by Taylor Caldwell! Though her books are not new. She was born in 1900 and died in 1985.
the other day i ran into a jw who just happened to be my very friend during my jw days (which were most of my life).
so for about 60 years we were each other’s very best friend.
we grew up together from about 8 years old and are the same age, now in our early 70’s.
I wouldn't have replied "cool" when he said, "we need to continue this dicussion at a later date". I probably would have replied, "why?" since he apparently didn't have a reply after you said what you said. He knows you are right and he knows he is perpetuating lie by staying in the so called "truth" for the sake of his social life and social networking.

hello there.. as some of you might remember i am keeping my facade up by "studying" with an elder.
