If people were put to death for believing wrong docterines; why would Charles Russell be one of the anointed ruling in heaven since he obviously believed some wrong teachings which some were his own

Not to mention a lot of dubs I knew were the most materialistic people I have seen on the planet but you were criticized for trying to better your lot in life.

What's the most thought-provoking novel you've ever read?
by lucky ini'd have to say for me that it was ayn rand's the fountainhead.
even though i don't agree with a lot of her philosophy, it definitely made me stumble around in a thought-induced haze for a few weeks after reading it.

Grace Metalious was a great writer, often underrated since she is only known for Peyton Place. Her life story is even more interesting than her books. My favorite of hers is The Tight White Collar, actually her first novel which took her 9 years to write but wasn't published until after Peyton Place was published. Her style of writing and description and her character description is awesome.
The Tight White Collar is out of print but I have 2 copies, both loaned out and hopefully I will get them back.

If You See A JW or An Elder, Do You Try To Avoid Them?
by minimus inwhen i was in a drugstore a couple of months ago, i saw the presiding overseer in the other aisle with his wife.
i saw them and made a conscious decision to leave.
what would you have done in a similar situation??

Yes, I do. I remember when I lived in my small town the only place to shop was Wal Mart and it was open 24 hours. I would go there around 3 in the morning to avoid people entirely and I'll be damned if some were there also even at that time!

When do you tell them------------
by vitty inive been fading for a year, we moved, so i am starting to make new friends (still feels a bit strange) anyway, when or if do you tell them you belonged to a religious cult, in my case over 20 years.
should i bother, is it more important to me than them.
will they think im wierd if i do tell them, or if ive been friends for a long time, will they think it strange i never mentioned it.

Some people I tell and some I dont; it usually depends on how close I am to them. I am a very introverted type of person and I am cynical and have a very hard time trusting people.
