FHN,
My first post pics were of Taylor Caldwell and Jack Kavorkian. The other pic I didn't name was because everybody on this forum should know who Ayn Rand is by now, lol

we all have somebody we are crazy about that almost everybody can't stand.. if you mention their name your companions give you that "look" (ya know the one, like you just got caught picking your nose!).
i was thinking about this the other day.
i was truly curious if i'm mental or if everybody has a guilty pleasure list like i do.. i'm just going to assume we all do until you set me straight.. if you attach a photo and short explanation about why you like these pariahs it will be more meaningful.. .

you know, to fit in....to be a part of our own family or group and not be a total nerd or contrarian.. we hold our tongue.
we smile and nod.. but, then....there is at least one thing we just can't go along with because it is too important.. why?
because we are a total snob.
Im a books over movies too. I love Steinbeck. The Grapes and Wrath and Of Mice and Men.
Started The Road but didn't finish it. It was the first book I got on my Kindle and I'm just not used to using my Kindle to read a book such as a novel. I have used my kindle for other type of reading and I'm glad I have it and I do use it, however I prefer to read a book with it in my hand.
I was really into Stephen King when I was a teenager and young adult and I still like him. I think Taylor Caldwell was a great and effective writer :)

i was surprised how well done and how good it was.
i read a few steven king books, but i'm not into horror.
any steven king fans, out there?.
Read a lot of Stephen King novels when I was in high school. Last book of his I read was Needful Things years ago. A doctor I work for gave me a copy of Duma Key but I haven't read it yet. Loved his early novels, however Firestarter was the most boring to me.

back in august, during a springfield city council public hearing on amending the city's nondiscrimination ordinance to include sexual orientation and gender identity protections, rev.
phil snider of the brentwood christian church lashed out at the council for "inviting the judgement of god upon our land" by making "special rights for gays and lesbians.".
Hey HempLover and Rabbitt! Good to see you two :)

once when i was profoundly sad for too many days, my brother in law sent us a mix tape.
he named each song after a person in our family.
this is the one he named heather.
there have been several threads about music the last few days, so i decided to start another.. this song absolutely makes me tear up every time i hear it.. .
