ok so i had this weird dream last night.
i dreamt that i was standing in line to gain admission to this strange cult.
they were passing out there own manufactured brand or q-tips and they required us to use only those q-tips.
I had a great dream two nights ago about "Marina" from the L word....
I'll spare you the details!
On a more serious note, I have had some strange dreams about the orginization since leaving... weird cause I never dreamt about anything spiritual until I left.
I think it is my brain unraveling!

well i can't recall now which public talks it was - one of my first - and it dealt with field service / preaching.
so i thought i would interview several people in the congregation about service and their thoughts and feelings on the subject, expecting something very different than what i got.
to my shock (i was an over zealous young buck who thought the sun rose and set on the wt) three sisters burst into tears as they told about their feelings of inadequacy and guilt over field service.
Funny, maybe I am just crazy, but I enjoyed field service!
I liked talking to different people and since I wasn SOOO convinced about my beliefs it was easy. I was never shy/nervous.
Maybe it helped that I grew up "in the truth" cause I had been doing it as long as I remember... it was "normal" to me.
Once I started having more serious thoughts of leaving it was more difficult... for the last 3 months or so before I left I dreaded it. My heart wasn't in it. I wasn't convinced. I wanted to agree with my householder when they had an objection.
I was relieved when the brother who was arranging my Judicial comittee told me I wasn't allowed to go in service.

it just occurs to me that with the wedding of charles & camilla there appears to be no royal mistress waiting behind the scenes.. just imagine..for the first time in centuries, the prince of wales hasn't got a mistress waiting to soothe his fevered brow.

i know it's not the lightest of topics but the current news coverage of the pope's final hours made me wonder if i'd face things as calmly as he is reported to be doing.
i don't have his faith, or any faith anymore, but i can see how for a true believer that would be a source of strength.. the thing is, a lot of us thought we'd never die.
do you really comprehend what a truly massive mind-fuck that is?
I dont know if there is an afterlife or not... but the way I see it is I don't want to waste one precious minute of my time here worrying/pondering or dreading it.
I am sure death will come all too quick and since it is inevitable I would prefer not to waste one minute of the time I have!
