  hello im new to this...my wife and i are still baptized....but weve not gone to meetings regulary...for some time now...even though we still go to the memorial.....and we are wondering if to go back.....here without being too specfic is our story.

  i was rasied in the truth...she was not...she got baptized...about 3 years after we were married..i was made a m.s.

  in 1990...but becuse of personal reasons i stepped down shortly after..i conecentrated on raiseing my family..and had to work 2 jobs to support them......3 children.....then a few years later my wife left me for some one else...and then i got very sick...and was told my kidney was failing....a elder came to my house and told me that if there was anything i neede that all i had to do was ask...well...a few weeks later i asked this elder...if he could get a couple of young brothers to hep me get rid off some boxes of stuff my wufe had left behind..because i could not lift them...he told me in a reproachful tone...get your family to help you...this after he had told me weeks before...to ask him for help........i thought at the time its no big deal....but then something else happen to call into question all about jw.

  When you're fed-up and Miserable.......

  i just spent 5 days down in devon in the south west of england and had a fantastic time unwinding and seeing my 2 nans, catching up with my cousins, having a couple of beers in a pub with my extended family the other side of the country.

  it was fantastic to see them all again.

  i'm a sucker for being made a fuss of.

  Seeker4 Invited to a Committee Meeting Tonight

  yup, they are going ahead with it.

  i spent most of yesterday, sunday, writing what turned out to be a 10 page letter to the body of elders about why i feel they are out of line in seeking to disfellowship me (for those new to this situation, i've been seperated from my wife and living with another woman for the past six months.

  i've not been an active witness for a decade.).

  Please help me understand about JWs as I have no idea about this religion

  i am looking for some one to help me understand a particular issue as a jw would see it.... if a single practicing jw was to have an affair with a married person (not a jw) knowing that they were married what would come of them or how would they feel about this being brought with a strict jw background?

  i am trying to understand this as i have no knowlege of this religion.

  any help would be appreciated.

  back when i was in high school i was in deca...i won national trophies for public speaking.......upon gradrution...i was offerd a scolarship to a major college....for public speaking.....but the elders conveinced me to go into the pioneer service...i did a dead end job to cover expenses...and it became my permant job when i got married a copule of years later.....with no college...and almost no help to find another job...to rake care of my wife and three kids...i feel i might have thrown my life away....well onr good thing about being on dialsys is ill get an education.donald

  Does WTBS believe in UFOs???

  i personally don't really believe in it, well certainly didn't see anything yet that would convince me otherwise.

  but browsing wtbs cd-rom i've come across quite deliberate reference about ancient ufo sightings which are intriguing.

  even though later article goes through usual wtbs reasoning that tries to put a lid on any inquiry by "faithful christians" i cannot but wonder if they are themselves actually believing it.

  i wish to thank all you for your kind replies.as i feel more comfortable ill teel more....theres lots more..but right now im walking a fine line between am i doing the wrong thing or not.....but ill give another example now

  About 1991...i was cut back at my job..in hours...i had three children near teenage years to feed,,,,and we all know how much they eat...lol......well i asked my boss that i saw some old sound equipment in the back...i asked if i could rent it from him....he said yes...and with my huge collection of cds.tapes,and records......i started a D J bussiness...when word got out of this one elder...without saying anything to me...tried in a elder meeting tried to get enough elders to side with him to get me on a committe....thank god there were enough fair minded brothers that shot him down.........i was just trying to help take care of my family...and one pinhead tries to have me DF..........such is the state of the truth now.....donald
