  i have been reading here for a while but as you may of noticed the assembly games post has flushed me out!

  it has been fascinating to read all your experiences and to know that the stuff that i thought was odd, was thought odd by others as well.. two things made me leave:.

  WHERE ARE YOU?

  so, my 16 year old is really giving me a hard time lately.

  really horrible stuff.

  i won't get into it but my reason for posting this topic, is that i keep thinking how difficult this is to not be able to be mothered when i need it.. i would never have imagined how hard this is.

  What's Your Attitude Toward "Religious" People?

  When I lived in South East Alaska, we had just moved into an apartment when the JWs came to "welcome" us. We were informed that in a few weeks all the witnesses would be leaving our town and we were warned to be careful as our town and the neighboring one had been declared by the society as the "Sodom and Gommorah" of Alaska. And sure enough, all but two witnesses actually left Petersburg and Wrangell, except for one elderly lady and a young man who worked for the telephone company. He was allowed to stay a few months longer until his transfer to Juneau came through. Oh, the elderly lady was living with here son who was the customs agent and he was close to retirement so they stayed for about a year then left Gommorah.

  I've rarely detected anger toward other posters for many months.. of course I'm not the sharpest dart on the dart board. I have noticed that there are those that are quick to belittle "believers" perhaps most clearly exemplified when discussions about there being design in the universe and an intelligence behind that design. Subjects of that nature, though I have my own beliefs, are rarely endowed with light, just heat.
