as we all know the society has very strict guidelines regarding conduct between the sexes.
in the cong i grew up in, it was so small-minded that if you were single, and seen talking to a member of the opposite sex, you were presumed to be in some sort of relationship with him/her.. sex before marriage is out of the question, with heavy petting also looked down upon.
dating is a serious affair, with all onlookers expecting engagement/marriage to be the outcome.
Ah shucks, the only effect the JWs had on my sex life was to eliminate it entirely. Still a virgin and proud of it. In fact I've advised all my kids that they too can be pure! I sing the songs of Solomon and consign myself to the company of concubines. Woe is me! What a miserable plight!

i followed this up with a survey on antoher site and found i ranked low and they told me i had sexual problems.

Long time since I checked this thread. In any case the Koran is quite adamant that the text of the Bible, both ot and nt, support the oneness of God, that He is not made up of three nor his he a "begatter" ie he does not literally produce sons, or a son. Seems if Muhammed was the prophet His followers claim, He would be authorized to clarify the misconceptions of early christian theologians and the doctrins they introduced.

I thought "deadening the body" was having the elders present those god-awful boring talks. Even as a kid, my butt went to sleep right after the "introduction" along with the rest of the arses in the cong.

Hey you guys, what's so hard about making friends? seems so many of you say the same thing when the exit door from Jdumbism bats you in the butt! I guess I was blessed to take the "spiritual off-ramp" as a teenager, more socially flexible and willing to take a chance with "worldly people".
