i recently bought a high powered rifle and am presently buying a pistol for back-up.
i have a cross bow, a compound bow, and several swords and knives, in fact i have been collecting knives for some time and have learned how to use them in defending myself and in taking the initiative in learning to defend myself.
i am quite versed in using both the croww bow and the compound bow, it seems the goverment doesn't want to defend us and just wants to unarm us.
Tried a wrist rocket for a few months, moved on to a C02 pistol but finally gave up and just put an electric fence up. No more raccoons tearing apart the fish pond!!

You can't be too careful! The city council promises to protect the citizens by alas, alas, they don't understand the wiley nocturnal creatures!
considering that the universe appears to be infinite, do you believe that there is just one god?
That's all I can handle!

my anxiety and stress levels are really bad lately.
i think i'd be doing myself a favor to quit caffeine, as it has become a real catch-22 for me, where i need it to stay awake, but it causes me to lose sleep, so i need more of it to stay awake, etc.. i've learned through experience that i'm very sensitive to any sort of chemical substance that affects neurotransmitter flow, and, given my general propensity towards depression/anxiety/paranoia/add, i think that at least one thing i could do to give me a calmer, more stable neurotransmitter mix would be to eliminate caffeine.
i've tried to reduce before, and i've found that i just start making excuses to have a little more, a little more, until i'm right back where i started.. so, i'm just wondering if anybody else has had a similar experience where they felt the need to not just reduce but eliminate caffeine altogether, and if so, how did it go, did it help, how long has it been, etc.
How do you define "sucessful"?
Been without for three years. The only problem is often there is nothing else served at functions except coffee or hot water so I've learned to carry my own de-cafe bags with my splenda.

the first bus rear ended an suv; the second bus rear ended the first.

While working at one of my rental units this morning hooking up a pressure washer to wash down the house, who should stroll up behind me but three dubbies passing out invitations to the district convention. The oldest, bout 60ish asked me if I lived here or was "just working". I told him "neither, I own the place"! So he and a 40ish male along with what looked like a ten year old went to the door of the back apartment and left a flyer with my 83 yr old renter. As the latter two were on the door step, the oldest one came back to me and offered an invite to which I respectfully declined. At that point I couldn't help myself and launched into my disdain for an organization that harbored peodophiles. Then I asked him point blank, was he one! You should have seen how white he turned. He couldn't get away as the other two were still talking to my renter. I asked him if there were any peodophiles in Astoria, to which he sputtered a feeble "no"! I asked how would I or that young boy know whether or not either one of you "men" could be trusted since the witnesses protect the identity of those that are. He turned tail and headed out without waiting for the other two just to get away from my questions. As the younger male and his youthful companion came by me I bid them farewell with a "have a nice day" loud enough for all to hear.
Made my day!

Some food for thought re: baptism!
What is the wisdom of this: since Christ possessed all essential perfection, why did He need baptism?
Answer. -- The principle of baptism is purification by repentance. John admonished and exhorted the people, and caused them to repent; then he baptized them. Therefore, it is apparent that this baptism is a symbol of repentance from all sin: its meaning is expressed in these words: "O God! as my body has become purified and cleansed from physical impurities, in the same way purify and sanctify my spirit from the impurities of the world of nature, which are not worthy of the Threshold of Thy Unity!" Repentance is the return from disobedience to obedience. Man, after remoteness and deprivation from God, repents and undergoes purification: and this is a symbol signifying "O God! make my heart good and pure, freed and sanctified from all save Thy love."
As Christ desired that this institution of John should be used at that time by all, He Himself conformed to it in order to awaken the people and to complete the law of the former religion. Although the ablution of repentance was the institution of John, it was in reality formerly practiced in the religion of God.
Christ was not in need of baptism; but as at that time it was an acceptable and praiseworthy action, and a sign of the glad tidings of the Kingdom, therefore, He confirmed it. However, afterward He said the true baptism is not with material water, but it must be with spirit and with water. In this case water does not signify material water, for elsewhere it is explicitly said baptism is with spirit and with fire, from which it is clear that the reference is not to material fire and material water, for baptism with fire is impossible.
