Best day for assembly?
by gringojj inwell we are going to the assembly this weekend in amherst, mass.
my wife and i want to go on the day when they say the stuff that really pushes obedience and stuff so we can really see what they are all about.

Does God Care If We Get All Dressed Up To Worship Him?
by Honesty inlet's face the facts about getting ready for a meeting to worship.
it takes up at least 15-20 minutes for a guy to get the 'dub look' on and maybe more for the girls.
do you think god really cares about how we look on the outside or is he more interested in what's on the inside?

I use the analogy of having take out at the assembly. They discourage it because they dont want people to feel bad if they cant afford to buy the same take out. Well how about all these people in fancy expensive suits? Wouldnt that make a struggling family of 5 feel bad if they came to the hall in salvation army clothes because that was all they could afford and everyone else is in expensive clothes? Sounds hypocritical to me.

Are JWs really persecuted?
by gringojj ini find it interesting that the wts has this persecution complex.
apostates all out to get them and stuff.
i must say that although a search on the web will bring you lots of great anti-jw stuff(thier own fault because they only have 1 official website) the number of people actually trash talking is quite small and its mostly ex-jws and some still in the org.
