by flipper inas many of us are aware the wt society has done quite nicely in a material way for themselves.
the sales of properties of the former " bethel " in brooklyn amassed them millions of more $$$$ .
they have relocated into upstate new york and are building like wildmen.

Flipper, this is sick. Guilting the members, many of whom are just getting by and hell, if they want to even get ahead a bit and save. Bottom line Flipper- THEY DON"T CARE AT ALL about the members. They care about control.

i had a lot of people leave my side three years ago; because some of my "phony homies" began to listen to my ex-finance spreading rumors about me and my family.
so to make a long story short i lost a lot of "friends" from my old way of life, but i picked up some true homies , and reconnected with a true homie in the long run.. i just had to ask that question because some of us were popular while we were in or we weren't the social butterflies.

A few weeks ago I was at a gathering with my wife and kids...a JW gathering. I didn't particularly want to go, and the only person i sat with and talked to was another man whose wife is a JW and he is not. Anyway, as it was time to leave one of the ladies said goodbye to all of us and told me that I am always welcome at the KH. Would I ever go back- for anyone?? HELL NO!

just need encouraging words... elders came over and breifly stopped by to encourage me back to hall
by Butterflyleia85 inwell i was kinda cut of gaurd when i saw them.
it was the two elders from the local congregation.
they said they just wanted to come over for encouragement to come back to the meetingsm one of the elders i knew me sence i was a baby and saw my son in my arms and asked how old he was.

Adjustments/tweaking to the policy are possible...but not in the way of softening the stance of shunning of those out. Perhaps they will make it easier/shorter time frame to return...but as far as the hardline stance of those out, it is here to stay. it is an effective control method, makes many return, instills fear in those considering leaving..
