Who on the forum would you like to meet face to face?

if you had your chance who would you want to meet face to face, talk to them, spend some time picking their brain, have a dinner with, get to know better?.

i have many but want to hold off for now!!!.

i just bit hurt tho i caused i think i have a self destruct button, what i tend to do is be awful to 'test' if they in it for the long haul then am surprised if there not!!!

this guy was abit soft i fell out coz i didnt get flowers on my first valentines day etc....

has the new watchtower arrangement been announced in the united kingdom yet?.

just wondering if my family are up with the 'new light' yet!.

just got announced at mine tonight. everyone very excited, the brother explained it was because in our study articles we want to get to the meat, and we cant because they have to print it for the public too, so when they use terms like pioneer and remant they have to explain it so how blessed are we that now we dont have to bother explaining it to anyone,

or changing our presention in the middle of the month now we can say the same thing the whole month thru!! and just place the public copy

it still astounds me how everyone is so taken in all the time and really thinks it is God that is deciding this!!!!!

My boyfriend is a JW and we want to get married but I want him to get OUT

i'm am so heart broken to see my boyfriend with so many internal strugles.

he is a good man, a good god fearing man and this is why it has been so difficult for him to leave the jw's religion.

we love each other so much and we want to be married but he fears the consequences of marring somebody who is not a jw.

I just wondered everyone seems to be assuming that he wants to continue being a witness but if he is willing to marry you is he willing to stop going,

he doesnt have to maybe you can make it work, yes of course you'd be better off without a guy leaving you every tues thurs and sundays but if you love him maybe you can put up with that.

I nearly did the same thing i thought our love would conquer anything I was the witness and he wasnt and in my mind i thought i'd go sometimes keep the family slightly happy. marry him so i didnt get dfed and things would be ok.

i didnt do it i got dfed and acted like an idiot coz of the pressure and we spilt up now!!

but i think you just need to talk to him properly find out what he is planning to do. maybe he doesnt believe it anymore and wants a life with you just doing the minium that is needed so he doesnt get dfed

basically talk to him and then make your decision

cults come and go so do you think the wtbts will eventually come to an end?

i think about this sometimes and i wonder if i will live to see it.

the reason why i want it to end is because i don't like the administration.

When JW parents shun their df'd children...and grandchildren

this seems the epitome of "lacking natural affection".

can you imagine being a parent and not being interested in how your own children are doing?

and what about carrying it even further, having nothing to do with your grandchildren, just because the parents are disfellowshipped?

I for one have lost my entire family (or if one member speaks these imense guilt to be gone thru) and know many more the same!

I never realised their were ones who spoke to their dfed ones, wish they'd speak to my family and show them how to be humane!

God what a thread!

I worked in two and lived kinda running one!!! yes eddie delaney does totally make a profit in fact he has been recently 'removed' of being an elder (guess his fraud finally caught up with him!)

It ruined some stuff in my family that i cant go into but boy them homes make me mad,

The nursing one i know well is a joke it is nursing not residental and so the really ill go there i mean people who need proper care, and yet the only requirement for working there is to be in good standing!!!!! so yes these poor old dears are not getting half the care they deserve and should recieve,

one has recently had to close!!! in fact just last week,

and another piont i worked nights sometimes and you get the same as day pay and that wasnt even the minium for a while, and oh yes you SHOULD miss the convention and yet when you go to the conventions you see 'examples' of people who gave up their jobs coz they weren't allowed time off!!!

what do you think of ray(mond) franz?

i have seen here some people critisise him as not being a really heartfelt opponent of the wts, but my view is that he was quite honest about his expressed motives against the cult.

with his revelations he gave a lot of momentum to the ex jw movement (the apostate organisation according to the jws) and offered valuable assistance to those seeking to shake off the ideological and social dependance on the oppressive cult.

I think his book is good in fact its really good, but what worries me is what witnesses have said to me that its just an update of the watchtower slave one

I'd love to believe everything he said is true and the whole truth guess i'm still abit ingrained i hate the wt etc i just want to know that what i'm basing losing my family on (i.e. in part reading his book) is completely for real
